MzLegiTCCoupeV6 2007 TL Type S

Hey Everyone, Just wanna introduce myself. My names abby and im from jersey. I made an account on this site when I had my 07 accord, so thats where the screenname comes from and I dont know if Im able to change it or not, If i am I dont know how at least lol. I now own a 2007 Acura TL-S in White Diamond Pearl. I bought it on December 30th and let the mods begin immediately. Just wanna share my progress with everyone. All comments are welcome.

Heres a pic of what my accord looked like at one point

And heres the TL
Stock as hell just with 20% tints

Then I installed the fogs

mad as hell cause they didnt settle to the same color for about an hour

but finally they became the same color

I purchased from supercomputer the illuminated doorsills, and my brother installed them for me, He owns a performance shop in morristown so if anyone needs work done lemme know.

Ive always been against buying unknown names off ebay but I swallowed my pride and did it. I purchased a roof spoiler that came all the way from Taiwan but the color was identical and a perfect fit and only cost me $80

Also debadged the "ACURA" and the "TL"

And finally the suspension was done in my driveway by me and my boyfriend. Which if I may say was a total Bi**h to do! Anyone with a type s who has done their own suspension, is there an easier way to get to the rear coilovers without removing the backseat completely :-/

And I also installed LEDS for the reverse lights, license plate, dome and map lights and the doors

well heres the finished product:

For me, taking out the back seat was a breeze
Trying to take them out without scratching the interior panels was hard.

Looking good!

I wish I felt the same way. We had a hard time trying to keep the interior clean. No scratches, but I definitely need to give my interior a real good cleaning

Yeah ksport kontrol pro coils. The ride is surprisingly good. Stiff but I prefer my ride like that. I had ksport springs on my accord and don't think id use any other brand From now on

Yeah I had KSport coils on my 04 Mazda 6 and loved them. Have you experienced any squeaking or "creaking" at all going over speed bumps or going up inclines at an angle?

Heyyy so my brothers shop is on Martin Luther King Ave, Very easy to miss because its a shop behind a house, its 2 driveways before morristown auto body & towing, if that helps.
& here is the link for the roof spoiler, I highly recommend, fast response, and fast shipping and great price!

Aw thats the look I was going for with lower fogs! Purple.

I bought 12000k, but didn't realize 12000k's were like light blue. I'm guessing you have 30000k's?

I actually remember you from da I think?

You were the only other person who did their calipers yellow (at least from what I recall)

This was mine

Nice to see you join the TL side! I think most 7th gen accord owners turn into 3g tl owners haha.

yeah my calipers were yellow for only a short period of time though, then I painted them bright pink cause thats the color theme i was aiming for with the accord. I was on DA as jrzygrl973 and was on a good amount of time so you probably did see mee there. your accord was nice as hell, I didnt want to get rid of mine, but I got pregnant and once I had my son the sar seat was getting difficult to put in and take out since it was only 2 doors and I refused to downgrade and decided I'd get the type s

Thanks! I couldnt wait, riding on stock suspension is not easy to do after being dropped for so long.

What coilovers are you thinking about getting?

Megan Racing. I see that the KSport has 4 more adjustable dampening than the Megan's.

there are plenty of styles that look good on the TL... lol im sure you know which ones look good since it seems like you've been in the game for a while. I would personally stay between 18-19... and nothing chrome

It has crossed my mind just not too sure about it yet. I scrape sooo easy right now with my drop that Id dread driving over a few pebbles with a lip kit installed lol.

I dont think the 4 more notches that ksport has will really make a difference in its stiffness. A friend of mine has megans on his 8th gen accord coupe and loves them

yeah I definitely agree. I might just stick with 17"-18" and go wide. If I get wheels ill be looking more for a better stance and some flush, but nothing too crazy. I like alot of the BBS wheels, In a candy color though. When the time comes for wheels ill decide then, you'll see in the future whatever I decide on

Ingalls smart arms for the rear are good. Front isn't really needed. Props to you for driving that low lol.. Also it takes me about 10mins to remove the seat

Thanks for the suggestion. I was eyeing up the ingalls, and was gonna check out the eibach camber also. When I had my accord I had the front and rear installed but realized wfterward the front wasnt really necessary, but I was a newb then and didnt know much lol. Now I have just about everything down except when it comes to wheels, lol! I know nothing about offsets or anything like that :-/ its all foreign to me still. And as far as the back seat goes, I Could probably take it out in 10 mins now that I know how it comes out but putting it back in was the toughest for me, the screws under the headrest were a PITA to get back in, and I actually broke the head of the screw at my first attempt, but got in out and from there it went okayyy. lol
Driving this low is kinda difficult, its seriously a skill. at least thats how I feel. Gotta know how to pull in and out of parking lots/driveways, when to dodge a bump or a pothole or even the a small rock in the road I need to go around, otherwise my front bumper would go right into it, it sucks. I made the mistake of driving over a raccoon once thinking my accord would clear it, and it didnt quite happen like I had hoped for :-/

Great progress! I'd add some spacers to those wheels so it doesn't look so sunken though.

Update: Well 2 days before honda day in Atco NJ, So april 13th and 14th I worked for hours installing the A-spec lip kit, which if I may share was a B**ch to install the rear, I had alot of issues removing the rear bumper, mostly with the clips not wanting to come unclipped. There was alot of dirt inside which made them get stuck together. So i reccomend purchasing new clips before you do install. Ive heard people say they plan on installing the lip without removing the bumpers, and its absolutely impossible to do it the right way. You need to drill holes and do a bunch of things that you arent able to do unless you remove the bumper, front and back. The front was alot easier for me to do, but that may also be because Ive removed the front bumper before and knew how to do that. The sideskirts were very easy to do also, took about 20 minutes to do those.

And Ive also removed my front plate and put the vinyl "ACURA" Stickers on the front bumper.

And I almost forgot, I began to paint some of the plastics, under the hood gold, And the front piece is purple, it throws off the look so Ill redo that gold and see what else from there.

But not I have my TL that I love... Just wish it was a 6-speed.

Congrats on the WDP, I think that's definitely the best color on a type-s
