My Type-S headlights with LED halos

My Type-S headlights with LED halos
alright guys here are some more shots of the completed lights. the headlights always bugged me. i had them done at a shop the first time. they blacked them out and removed the diffusers. what a mistake! diffusers in is the way to go. this was like 3 years ago. and i was one of the first to clear a type-s headlight. can you believe it i was scared to mod them
so i picked up a set of CDM TL headlights, these have fogs and hids in one. plus they have clear diffusers. i got em real cheap like 6-7 months ago. my plan was to use the parts off them and mix with mine to get the look i wanted. the parts i needed off them were clear diffusers, the chrome housing, and i also used the entire clear outer lens since they were new.
i also got the LED halos from umnitza. they come in two pairs and i only used one. they are a bit thick, but i was not planning on mounting them on the HID lens rather the daytime running light lens, they are normally off when the headlights are on. so i would not lose any light output. i wired them to tun on with the parking lights. i got these mainly for night time enhancement. i have my hyper yellow daytime running lights which i love.
all i used to open them up was a heat gun and flathead screwdriver. here are some pics.
this is what they used to look like
CDM TL headlight
i planned on installing them behind the dome like lens on the daytime running side. i just needed to figure out a way to mount them there securely.
so i made a custom mounting bracket for the halo out of thin sheet metal.
i used some 3M double mount adhesive film to mount the halo to the bracket. its real strong and heat resistant.
here its screwed in.
since i hate switchbacks i got me some 20 super flux 1157 led bulbs. these are a little bigger than the switchbacks but i think they are better they remain white, when signaling they just get brighter.
anyways i put everything back together and wired it all up here are the results BTW i also blacked out the amber diffusers.
comments welcome guys

Nice work once again. Those LED halos are bright and they look really good on your ride.

I know what you're saying but the way I mounted these behind the clear dome -like thingy. They are almost invisible during the day. They truly appear to be stock. Super straight aligned perfectly. No wires showing. Near perfect light output. Those are the things I don't think a would have achieved using the cc angle eyes. They don't even hinder or block any light output from my daytime running lights. For me these are perfect!

i love the fact that you cant really tell they are even there when turned off. stock looking but way beyond. no wires showing, no white ring in front of the lens. i'll dig up some CC halo pics and compare.

amazing,......
man, i also got a pair of cdm head lights but i have a problem. Bought them and found out the ballast was messsed up i think.. I'm going to have to take it apart. =\
would you happen to have parts from that headlight that you don't need? All i need are the parts from the driver side, lol

LOL, and thanks
thanks bro, the way i mounted these up with that bracket was perfect! they pretty much became part of the light. i just took one look at them after i opened them up and figured it out like in literally 5 minutes.

It will end eventually, but I'm not sure when
And yes, there is such a thing as an overdone car, but I don't think you need to worry about that. Your mods are totally custom and flow well with the car. Nothing sticks out like a sore thumb
