My TL-S with 19's
Just put these on today! I like them, but I personally think the car needs to be lowered. I don't know how to do that without rubbing, or having to roll the fenders. Any suggestions? What do you think of the wheels on my car?

It all depends on the specs of the wheel in regards to the lowering. To play it safe I say order Tein SS Coilovers or if you don't want to break the bank get Tein S Tech or H Tech springs that will lower it to a nice level. Always liked these wheels, good choice.

Lower it, it will look much better. I dont think you would rub. I dont think you would have to roll the fenders either.
I think you should get the Tein SS because if your car happens to rub, than you can raise it back up. The Tein SS, if you didnt know, are adjustable. You can also get the Tein Basic's. I dont know to much about them but they are pretty good to

Hey Girl...
Those Netz look best on WDP for sure. I'm way jealous today.
3 and I have talked about this when she picked up the wheels. Tein SS is low and harsh (which she was not enthusiastic about going back to again). Drop springs will be even worse because they're stiffer, and the shocks aren't valved for stiffer springs, so you'll get a lot of bounce. Drop springs are never performance enhancers, they're purely for show.
Not to sway you one way or the other... but the A-Spec suspension is your answer. A nice balance of drop and performance without compromising the ride quality... and considering the drop is only about an inch, you probably won't have an issue with rubbing.
What are you doing Saturday?

Although lowering may make it look better, the fender gap difference is not near as bad if we did that on our 2nd gens. I think it looks ok. Perhaps an HR OE drop is all you need so you can maintain good ride quality. Car looks very nice BTW

Not sure about Saturday.....I guess if I want the springs I need to motivate Ben to put them on

I LIKE IT!!!
Not too much of a drop though. I think Acura is coming out with an Aspec suspension for the TypeS. One of the first guys to post his Type S said something about it. He's the guy from Ga. with a black Type S with Apsec bodykit. His wife drives another 3rd Gen Aspec black as well. Can't remember his board name.
Kennedy are you going back to key cuts this weekend??

They look good, but they take away from the sportiness of the type-s. I personally would have gone with some nice 5-spokes or something a bit more open.
Still a hot set of wheels though! Congrats!!
Now, lower that biotch! haha....I gotta do the same to mine. Needs a drop with teh 19's on it.

nice whip! i bought the tein ss for mine. when i got them i thought the ride was a little stiff. i had very few miles on my tls when i installed them. i just got back from driving my old 05 this weekend and realized they aren't bad at all. i think it was just me getting used to the type s. so guess what i am getting at is the ride wouldn't be that bad and you can adjust them if you rub. so go for it! when i had them installed i asked my local acura dealer if he had a tech that did side work on the weekends. he said yes and for 250 bucks they are in and perfect. just an idea for those of you that aren't do it yourselfers.

I am also thinking about dropping my WDP. I have a set of Zenetti Flow 19's on mine. I am leaning towards the A-Spec suspension. Just remember it's a SPORT and LUXARY CAR too so you can have the best of both worlds. You do not want it to look to sporty. That takes away from the Luxary......IMO......
