my headlights

I just got my corners blackedout and i thought they were going to come out looking good but i was wrong. The lights only look good in the day time and when i turn on my lights the corners look like shit. The guy that did my corners used flat paint and you cant even see my blinkers or anything. He also missed many spots so it looks really sloppy bc its the only spot where the light can come through. Should i just have told this guy to use tint spray so at least my blinkers could show and so that a little bit of light can show. Im pissed about this situation b/c this guy says hes redoing them for me for a discout of $125 but i just had them put on yesterday and i still have to pay the guy that installed it for me and then i have to ship them again and all this shit. If i get them redone again i should tell this guy to use tint spray?? Please let me know what i should use without covering the corners completly and so that my blinkers and light could show. Will post some pics

Per my PM, he does need to use tint spray. This guys is clearly not a professional, because he would have know to use tint spray so as to maintain the integrity of the blinkers. I am very interested in seeing pics.

Also, I think sending these lights back to him is a huge mistake. If he did a horrible job the first time, he will probably do just as bad this time. Knowing that he wants $125 to redo them is scary...I am afraid to hear how much you paid to have them done originally. Mine cost only $160, and they were done really well the first time.

Bottom line, don't send the lights back to this asshole, he clearly doesn't have a clue.

Congrats on the purchase...I saw your ride on Leeo's site the other day, looks great.

Got the lights done @ Rego Sport in Glendale 818 547 3337 (talk to Harry). I have referred a couple of people since I had mine done, and everyone has been happy. Just make sure to be specific about what you want. Also, be warned that the place looks really, really shady!

I'm still contemplating weather to just get my corners blacked our, or to go the whole way and get my housings blacked out as well.. The only problem with all this, is that it is extremelly illegal.

Sh0 n, I hope you didnt deal with him he was pretty shady every time I tried to work with him, theres a reason why this forum banned him. There has got be some reputable spots in NY that can fix his work, try contacting Ronjon, he got his housings blacked out and his turn signals smoked...

RonJon got his headlights cleared and blacked out by him also. I dealt with him and he seems to be a stand up guy. I didn't have any problems with him or my headlights and they came out exactly like I asked him to do them.

Sho did you specify that you wanted tint spray?

He didn't exactly clear it, but took the reflector out temporarily and painted it...

I am afraid to ask this, but I wonder how much $$ it would be to get new headlight housings and start over? Maybe there is a way to have someone that knows what they are doing pull the headlights apart and clean off the reflector? Worst case scenario, jus have someone else pull the lights apart, remove the corners and you will just have completely cleared lights.
