I LOVE the amber; it just adds so much more characteristic to the car.

Looks very well with SSM. If I had a different colour, my decision would be different lol

Questions:

Where did you put those silica packs inside the headlight? o_0

Is it required to clamp your headlights and leave them overnight?

Apparently, after my second attempt to reseal my headlights, there are still condensation when I took it to the carwash :/

I put them where the stock silica pack is.

I don't think you have to clamp them for overnight. Shtewps and I did his headlights and left them clamped for like 20 minutes and put them back on his car lol
No condensation for him either.

Are you using butyl?

how do you put carbon fiber in there?

I want to take mine apart and use headlight restorer on the insides

headlight restorer is meant to be used on the outside of the headlight because that is where all the oxidation and discoloration is at.

i think

^^^true...actually, messing with the inside lens might be a bad idea.

I actually had some paint vapor or something that left a film I needed to wipe down on the inside of mine once...but the sun/uv damage you see...can't be on the inside. Now if you've had condensation for a long time, you COULD have mold/mildew, but you can also wipe that off.

I like the stock light...but once you get into opening up and making changes...it's hard to go back.

True of most mods, actually.

I loved the stock lights on the TL too, and when I told people I will be opening them up and messing with them everyone told me I was crazy. Then blacking out, switchbacks, no more orange, ZKW-r, switchbacks, and the whole front end changed. Damn I miss my 3G. Now I help local guys out do it on their 3G just so I can stay close to it hahaha

Well, if you have a base TL, you have to buy a clear diffuser (USR or OEM Type-S) and wrap the side pieces with carbon fiber.

Ever since I did my Accord fog mod with Type-S diffusers, I actually couldn't stand looking at my stock lights lol
So blacking them out was a MUST.

The stock lights with my unmodded front with just the A-Spec lip looked "clean" though.

When i did mine, i got the sealant from advance. Came in a can with a applicator tip on it. I found that it wourked very well especially if you removed all the old stuff beforehand.

Anywhere between 175* and 225* (depending on how paranoid you are). Keep them in for 15-20 minutes and they'll be ready to pry open.

This.

No preheat =)

That means doing your second headlight, you have to leave the oven open until it cools again lol

no preheat, 190 for 9 minutes does it for me, every time. The longer you leave em, the more likely you are to get those spider cracks and/or damaging the lense. Do it short and as cool as you can to get it to work.
