my 04 NBP AT TL (not 56k friendly)

after much contemplating and inspiration from fellow member PPLAPW, i've smoked my headlights. i guess with a twist: i kept the amber lens. basically because i like the amber turn signal. although im going for a stealthy look i really couldnt do without it. it took me two days, last night and this morning to finish and guess what!? NO CONDENSATION! rain and cold weather is being tested right now (its raining in stockton). luckily i was able to snap a few pics near a construction zone before it rained, keep in mind that the car is dirty. next on the list: Comptech exhaust.

ON WITH THE PICS!

i apologize in advance if im hurting your neck with these photos.

Looks cool. Its like outlining it with a black sharpie!

Your car looks just like mine, except an auto and you have a painted grill.

Did a body shop paint your grill?

Just sick. Love it! I think I might have to copy you...=)

I'm planning to do the same with the front grill, but I'm contemplating wether to paint the Emblem or leave it chrome.

PPLAPW - yeah it is pretty much the outline, it really isnt that noticeable because of the amber turn signals but as long as i know it, im happy. when i first saw your car i thought the same thing as you of how similar our TLs are even though mine is an auto. i love my auto though. you should paint your grill too, itll definitely set off the front end with your headlights.

dragonlord - i brought it to a shop to have it painted

05TLTony - thanks!

aznbo187 - you should, i recommend the painted grill mod to everybody i know with a TL. as for the emblem, it depends i guess, what color were you planning to paint it?

Oh god, I just looked at the pics again and it's the exact way I wanted it done. Paint the Surrounds of it NHB, and paint the off-shade gray color the same as the a-spec kit's offshade. Looks hot.

My car is black and it's pretty much going to be a replica of yours. Sorry, lol.

BTW, did you also paint the strip in the back of the car on top of the lic. plate? I was thinking about doing something to that as well. Either a full match, or maybe like a dark gunmetal like on the A-spec lip kit.

tony the grill is holding up fine, there is one rock chip but that was from a trip from central california to los angeles (5-6 hour drive) last year, if it does start chipping off, i have a deal with my body shop to have it repainted free under any circumstance. the owner of the shop went to school with my father so he lets me get away with it i guess.

Thumbs up

XjoEnX,

Nice looking car! Very subtle look which I think makes it have real class. NBP was my next choice after anthracite.

Was wondering what finish you have on the A-Spec wheels? I'm looking at gettin a set and haven't decided yet on what looks best. Trying to pick from silver sparkle and chrome look. Not into the really "shiny chrome" on the A-Spec wheels. I really like the look of the finish on your wheels and think they would complement the anthracite the way they do with the NBP.

I think I gotta get me a set of these now...

There the Original 04 Gun Metals finish and come in 18x8.5. There not produced anymore but you can find them used.
