Mr Grand Prix '07 KBP Type S -Progress Thread
Hey guys..
Decided to start a progress thread. I have had my 07 TL Type S for two years now. I got it with 37k miles. I am currently sitting at 50k miles...not bad for 13k miles in two years.
This is my first Acura. I have always been in the Honda family owning in the past a Del Sol, CRX, and two S2000's heavily modded.
I will be adding pics and updates as I mod the car more.. have some plans but having a family and kiddos, modding a car takes time ...alot of it.. lol.
On to the pics.. this was my previous car before I sold it...one day ill own a third s2k...
05 Rio S2000 Turbocharged...
My 01 GPW S2000 as well..
Now my TL. It has Aspec lip kit, yellow fog covers, Roof Spoiler, RV6 HFPCs, RV6 J-Pipe...

Thanks guys for the compliments...
I take great pride in modifying cars and I like to take my time to do them sometimes because of a certain "vision" I want them to look like.
My TL just got lowered on ISC Coilovers and Progress RSB installed...posting pics shortly..

Awwww yeah, the drop looks fantastic!
The skirts would really help finish the look. They are subtle but worth it

Good question...
I havent fully tested it out since I am still working on what setting for dampening setting BUT I have taken a slight curve here and there and I have noticed i do not have any body roll at all... feels definitely planted.
Once my dampening is set up then I will definitely give a review..so far though..def worth it in my opinion..

Here you go guys as promised...
Decided to do something different to the engine...something subtle but noting overdone..I dont think I am done with the engine bay. I think I may color the intake tube gunmetal or something...
And i also decided to modify my headlights... CF sides, ZKW-R Lens with Morimoto 5500k HIDS...

Thanks man....
I am starting to build my audio set up slowly. Once I have it completed, then I will do the install. I am still on the fence on window visors.
I do need to do some maintenance like wipers and thinking about going brake pads since I havent done them since I got the car. I got the car at 36k miles two years ago but it now has 51k.... thoughts if I should do it?

GP, the gold in the engine bay looks good. A few more gold accents and you'll be....................."golden".

did you modify your headlights yourself? Any issues with condensation afterwards? I had a big problem with mine at first but then was told to remove the rubber piece that fits around the back of the DRL housing and no issues since
Everything looks great my man! what coils are you dropped on? any fender rolling? I want the exact same drop for my TL but the roads here are shit and I'm really scared to pull the trigger on a pricey suspension set up. The garage I park it in is like a big slope too so if i don't creep it scrapes at stock height FFS

To answer your question. I did modify the headlight with a buddy's help. Actually he took the lead since he had done his own. I did have a minor problem with condensation only on the driver side after i washed my car but it was very minor. I bought some Butyl from Retrofitsource to correct that so I will be doing that soon. Thank God it is summer and no rain in sight here in Texas. I didnt see any issue with the DRL it very minor in the corner of headlight in the front.
I am dropped on ISC coilovers and they ride great! I dont have any fender rolling done but will be adding that soon since I am looking at adding 18x9 or 18x10 rims.. eeek!
Roads here in Texas especially in San Antonio are not the most forgiving so I have to be careful around bumpy areas. The ride is great but I have yet to bottom out yet. I picked the ISC coilovers since i got a great deal at the time and the dampening was adjustable. I would def go with a coilover setup with a wide range of dampening. I am still thinking about adding camber kit in front or not.. I have to do more research. For now the car sits perfect with stock wheels but I am itching to add some aftermarket rims..
hope this answers any questions.

yes! thanks a lot for the reply! I just love how your car sits, and I have always loved the Type-S waffles, I don't see myself changing wheels any time soon so was just wonderng how things went for you with the stock wheels. Im prob going to go with the Tein SA's as they are in budget and have heard great things.
