mod headlight
Free598, here is another suggestion.....
What you can do is take little squares of masking tape and mask each LED on the strip. Then apply a couple light coats of black spray paint. That way the strip will be blacked out and camouflaged and they only thing visible will be the white little LED squares.
BTW did you glue the strip on to the trim like that? Which LED strip did you use? It looks like the one from oznium, am I right?

this is great bro. did you figure out how you gonna wire it? what corner bulb are you going to use? there are alot of options. and with just alittle rewiring, it'll give you alot more.
i didnt figure out how am goin to wire it yet.....WHAT U THINK UR THE MAN WITH THE CUSTOM MADE SWITCHBACK SIDE MARKERS..give me sum advice
Possible Options.
1. White bulb always on - white bulb and led blinking
2. orange bulb always on - orange bulb and led blinking
3. switchbacks with leds blinking with the orange
4. switchbacks with amber deleted and just leds blinking
5. switchbacks with leds alternating.
6. switchbacks with leds always on.
there are probably a bunch of other options with some small modifications. Can you make a video of these light on. how well do they match with with the switchbacks? i want to see how they look with white background from the switchback and the leds constantly on.

IMO i think either leds just blinking with the turn signals or amber deleted from the switchback and just have the leds as turn signals. the amber leds strip would sortof defeat the purpose of the switchbacks. the white reflection they give just look so good by themselves and make the whole headlight just fill with that 6000K white. BUT it might also be a nice contrast. i dunno would have to see the lights to come up with best possibility.
i have about a week left before i put them in. by then i will make up my mine about with 1 am goin to try..the LED strip is yellow it looks orange in the picture..with the white swithback and the yellow LED it should looks good...
for $24 you get 3 bulbs and 2 inverters. CAnt go wrong!! now i just got to install the ones i;ve had since october. This Freaking Cold weather!!! CANT WAIT TILL SPRING!!!
Looks real good. How yellow?? like nokya yellow?

am thinkin about puttin them in on saturday....i just order the nokya yellow for my foglight..waitin for them to arrive,,,
Yeah man see, they look WAY better now....GOOD JOB!! Gotta see them on the car in action. I say use white 7440 bulbs as parking lights (instead of 7443s) and use the amber LEDs as signals. Hook the strips up to the signal wires and there you have it! Custom switchbacks!!!
I am tempted to do this too!!

WOW....MUCH better with the blacked out strips.
I did something similar with my old 6G Accord, except I put 12" CCFL Tubes in the marker lights below the headlights.....
