^^^^whats up neighbor. You're right these roads are decent around here so being somewhat slammed is not that much of a problem, I just can't get used to being so low...gets REALLY hard just to get in and out of the car. Actually I just raised the front about a 1/4 inch so I now i'm at 24.5F/25.25R. Gonna try ahd see how I like it. Gotta love the freedom/flexibility coilovers provide.

Its for one of these things. I havent used it in a while and since i still have it i havent taken it off in case i may use it again for a long drive.

My fellow AZiners, I may be near the end of my modding experience . I am reaching the point of satisfaction with my TL as i truly love the way it looks and feels right now....besides regular maintenance i am not seeing many more things i feel i need to do to it (it's really close to where i've always wanted it)....i know many have said this before and eaten their words. The difference is that I will soon finish paying off my TL and some other monthly $$ obligations (yes i bought my TL two years old and I stupidly financed it for 6 yrs)....so i will now have some left over $$ i can use for other things. For over a year now i have been wanting to get a pickup for home projects and for hauling around our dogs without messing up our cars. I may soon be truly done modding the TL because it is where i want it and i will soon have another auto to obsess about .
We'll see if it all pans out but i'm looking into a Honda Ridgeline because i'm scared of buying a V8 (i liked the Tundra) and for V6 pickups (import only) the Ridgeline and the Tacoma are the only ones i like. It seems the Ridgeline is much, much easier to find with a sunroof which is a must for me as i use it every single day. I'll probably buy used as i can't afford new Ridgeline prices and i'll probably buy white as i think it has the best shot at looking hot with some dark tints and maybe some nice wheels or at minimum some meatier tires. As i've been trolling the web for ideas i found this pic of one with replica X5 wheels and i think it looks pretty cool (if you click it you can see it bigger). Anyways, we'll see what happens but at least i'm pretty sure i'll be keeping the TL for a while (I love this thing!).

There's nothing wrong with stopping the modding! You've made great progress and you should be more than pleased with how the TL currently looks.
I've heard lots of great things about the Ridgelines. Good luck with the decision

^^I did too but they made my front end to dark with the blacked out lights. So now the white diffuser, chrome fog and HID lens/rim, the front end is looking a bit more balanced.....I always look to Sofia (pic above) for inspiration with this mod.
I've really gotta clean up the TL and post some decent pics....i'm way over due.

Nope, rear diffuser is still in....just bad photography i guess.

Hey Aziners, I haven't been on here for a while. I've been real busy working (today i worked from 2am to 5pm, seriously...all salary/no overtime, Ugh!). I've also been busy styling up my new/used boxy truck. Pics below.
-Special Thx to those who gave me some mod ideas
Before (day i bought it):
After (yes, center caps are coming very soon):
Of course my TL is still my first love and very fun to drive (still my daily driver). The Ridge is so comfortable and i love the look with the new wheels (its also great for running errands, home improvement projects, taking the dogs out).

As for daily driver, it is still my daily driver. My work is about 1hr away (60miles roundtrip highway and street), so the TL works better for that for a couple reasons.
1) TL is much better on gas obviously. The Ridge is actually more of a gas guzzler than i thought it would be with a V6. I'm averaging about 16mpg with more street time than highway time. I had expected better.
2) The Ridge is obviously slower. It really drives like a truck (not an SUV). RPM are always real low (rarely over 2.5k). It is not light on its feet. BEfore the TL i had a Pathfinder and it was fairly light on its feet....the Ridge feels like your driving a tank (that feels good though and i should get less speeding tickets).
3) 1hr drive home is usually my only alone time where i can open all of windows and sunroof, blast some music, focus on the road, and enjoy some nice fast curves and a couple good straight aways...of course all of these are better enjoyed in the TL.
FOr this reason the TL is still my daily driver BUT you are right it does not have to be...and this is where it gets interesting. THis is where i am now free to do deeper mods on my TL without worry if it is going to be ready for the drive to work on Monday. THis is where i can really take my time with mods and enjoy doing the mods no rush and where i can tackle things i usually wouldnt dare to before. Of course this is where money can become insane with things like Superchargers and such and i really want to avoid that. I do have a couple mods i want to do but i need to prioritize and figure out my parking setup. I got lucky with my last house purchase where we have a split 3 car garage (2 car garage to the right - mine of course......1 car garage to the left - hers of course). So i do have my very own two car garage but with both cars in there now it is really tight. I could never mod one of them if it were parked in the position where it needs to be for both to fit. SO if i where undertaking a longer mod i would have to park it in the middle and have the other ride sleep outside until i finished. THis is fine except i grew up in the Bronx, NY and i am paranoid about theft. I live in a nice neighborhood but you never know. None of our cars ever sleep outside because of this. SO i would need to put 2 sets of wheel locks on the Ridge and take some sleeping pills if i dont want to be waking up every hour of the night to check if the car is still ok.

What's up guys!
I must admit I'm getting bored with my TL. I haven't modded it in a long time. I have a couple things I need to do but they are just maintenance and won't do anything for the look or performance so I've kept putting them off for the longest. What I need is a mod I can visually enjoy. I would love new wheels but I cant afford it right now. I would like to install the accord fogs but don't hAve the time for such a big mod.
I need ideas. Anyone?

Was thinking about that. I thought I saw a picture of a NBP UA6 with Aspecs and Type-S tails but now I can't find it. I liked some lights the tail light mod guy made but don't want to spend sooo much for just special taillights...maybe I could buy some depo type-s tails and bake them up to mod them myself.
#277
I've already got exhaust, headlights, LEDs covered. I guess tail lights should be next. I'm thinking type-s but with the grey painted black. I've seen a set like this on here before.
I was considering painting the calipers a different color. Something that would pop a little more. Gotta look at a couple pics to get ideas of what color would look good with NBP and Gunmetal Aspecs.

Type-S tails with the bezels painted black would be hot! Do it!
As for calipers, I'm not sure what would look good with your car. Maybe red? I rarely suggest red but I think it'll flow well with your car and the red in the tails.

Funny you say that. I rarely like the look of red calipers but I've been considering it. Even went and bought the red paint and I've got it there in my garage. I think some kind of dark amber might work as well. I know I'm not describing the color well but I've seen a couple sporty cars rocking this color.

Just spent the last hour reading the entire thread... Great job man, it was interesting to see you become addicted to your mods although we all know it cant last forever when you're close to where you love it. Even though your TL suffered the fate of eventual stagnation, it came out beautiful and I'm happy to learn from all the stuff you did, thanks for all the info. Just got in on a group buy for the ASpec lip kit here we go...
