Not bad. That car would look sooo much better if you could black housing those headlights. Never going to happen I'm sure though. Lol

Brother, that is awesome. If the power is "decent" the aesthetic appeal is off the charts.

Darkest Legal Tint
Maybe Spacers and I'd rock that shit just like that. Classy and elegant looking.

Enjoy it, Marco.

yeah, keeping it legal is tough because I believe only 35% is legal. I think I'll end up with 20 or 10% because 5% can be a hassle to drive at night

Legal at the local shop is 26% front and 16% rear. I think it looks great.

I'm too old to get hassled by the cops. And TBH, I don't like having to roll windows down to back up at night.

I think 20% is dark enough to look good and light enough to not get in trouble...

lol yea I wouldn't even bother putting anything darker than 50% where I live. pay to tint it, pay the fine, pay to remove it all in one day would be my luck LOL

I think the windshield looks cool, but then I assume if I can't see in your car you're either shooting heroin, sucking dick, or beating your wife.

I agree with this. I'll probably end up with 20% sides and rear and 50% up front.

Btw, as I wait for dinner I was browsing pics and ran across this pic I took this weekend after cleaning wife's car.....not bad huh.

I miss the black supercharged TL that used to be parked between the two other vehicles.

S63 AMG wheels on the E class ... zomfg sex. I would really love to see it dropped, but it seems that with MB air struts that ends up being a no-go for a lot of MB owners.

EDIT: Quick question, powerplant is the 3.5 liter V6, right?

Yeah I miss it too. It looked good parked in front of the house.

But that Benz has some clean lines, it's a great follow up to the 3G. Sharp, edgy lines and wedge shape. The ass end sticks out too much and really needs a spoiler (maybe even a roof spoiler). And not the tiny insignificant one that comes with the AMG version....there are another couple to choose from.

I'm really gonna try to avoid lowering it. It's the sport model which is supossed to be lower than the "luxury" model (by about 0.5"). This year doesn't have the air suspension. It is actually pretty low, I'm gonna try to not mess with the suspension (can't garantee it thought).

Pondering a very, very low exhaust rumble. I'm leaning towards no noise....it's an luxury car (not supposed to be noisy)....and it can take forever to get the exact right tone sometimes.

Like I said before I want to get some base AMG wheels asap and then some killer ones later. Might spend some real money on these this time. Thinking about a brushed metal finish to contrast with paint color.

That gives you an idea of what I'm considering. Gonna be sweet.

PS-3.5 V6 is correct. Honestly it moves plenty decent when you floor it. But I just drive slow these days.

Tough day at the office. TGIF

Thx gents.

PS - did I ever mention how no other forum seems to ever be as good as this one. Realizing that as I try to learn some stuff on the MB forums. Others either don't have enough content or people commenting or seem disorganized. Kudos to Acurazine!

Almost immediately? I think I had it for like 3 years. Your theory doesn't apply here brother. Even more that I went with a slower car. It's been mythbusted man.

How bad would it sound if i said the Benz is faster than the stock TL? Traitor status? Haha. Actually it is (it should be..... bigger engine, more HP).

Marcel, let's do a mini Benz meet. Haha

LOL...
hmmm...
bare bones of what i said was that adding a sc was the nail in the coffin for the car. and it was.

you were sc for 3 years?

Jeez, time flies, man.

I don't care...most brand new civics are probably faster in acceleration than my TL.

which part?

sc then the car gets sold?

or the civic being faster?

you're probably right.

I mean, I was a little off with my observations...but it's still true in my mind. Upgrade power and sell car. Makes me scared to do it...I wanna keep mine!

Wassap peeps. Tints are on (20% sides & rear and 50% front). Pics coming soon (hopefully tomorrow).

I think tomorrow I'll be able to chat with gym buddy who has the oem AMG wheels. I believe they are 19s which is only an inch above the current wheels but if the price is right that will be my base set and some really hot wheels will come later. Will keep you posted.

Night, night

Is the hot wheels wait until later because of budget? Why not just save up a little longer and hit those now!

You got spoiled and like options!

LOL...I get it...I put the stock wheels back on the S yesterday morning. Put the Konig back on by night time. I'm nuts.

You're right, I was spoiled by having A-Specs and nice aftermarket wheels. Would like to have a similar setup again but you do have a point i could save some money by just going to the nice aftermarket wheels. I dont think i would buy the nice aftermarket wheels brand new (dont think i could spend $3k+ on a set of wheels and tires). So if i buy a nice OEM set or replica OEM set they would only set me back $1k + tires. Then i could calmly be on the lookout for nice aftermarket ones on EBAY and craigslist (like i did with the TL).

Well, here are some pics i just took. I tried to give you guys some far away views of the car so you can help me decide on size of wheels. The wheels currently on it are 18s. Since i no longer drive fast and this car looks bigger than the 3G TL i'm seriously considering 20 inch wheels. I think adding only one more inch in size wont make a big difference so i might jump past the 19s. Besides i'm really trying to avoid lowering it (for my back and warranty sake) so 20s would fill the gap more.

Anyways here are some pics...pls comment on whether 19 or 20 and suggest some wheels. I'm currently inclined towards 5-7 spoke wheels in a machined finish or silver paint. I think the shape of the car would benefit from a nice dish. Also think staggered might be a good selection as well. So let me know what you think.

Oddly, I think the 18's fit the vehicle nicely for a nice smooth ride.
Either way, sexy fucking car, Marco. Congrats, again.

Come on man...gimme some more than that. 19s or 20s and why? Deep dish or classic 5 spoke? painted vs machine finish? Vossen vs Avant Garde vs Advan?

Help a brother out. Your input is valued bruh.

Also need some other opinions. Not that i am going to do exactly what one person recommend but the detailed input from my AZ peeps will help me open my mind to options.

1) I don't like dish, so I'll always vote spoked...which look bigger.
2) The body looks to me like it's right between looking big enough for a 20. So if you can find a wheel you love in 19"...and can do a 40 series tire to keep it cozy...that would be my vote.

I'm sure a 20" COULD look fine...doesn't mean it should and most 20's are going to hurt performance/gas mileage.

Yeah i think it is sized right about where 20 could look fine. How about concave vs flat/flush?

Here are some examples, hopefully it will get your creative juices flowing gents.

Yeah i'm digging the second to last one as well. With the car being a slightly darker tone of grey i wonder if its going to look too monotone. Actually here is a pic with those wheels on my color car.

Not, bad but i would have to set it off with some other color accents to bring some contrast into the mix.

How about these? There is a really hot 4G on here with these (similar color as mine too) and they look incredible.
