Lmao! Operation Paul signing for camera was a success. The neighbor had it and I grabbed it off of her after I got home from work. The box was opened though. Maybe she left me a little surprise on the GoPro.....

If it's of her, yeah why not? I wouldn't mind seeing some wide angle titties.

Whew, what an exhausting weekend. Got home Friday night and decided to tackle the brakes. Bought new pads, rotors, stainless steel lines, and fluid. The fronts were pretty easy, but the rears were a totally different story. Not that I should have to, but I can honestly say I will not be doing the rear brakes ever again. The piston isn't a compression type, it has to be turned in. So to spare everyone the details it was a nightmare and huge pain in the ass, but I finally got them turned in with some help from a friend. Then there was the SS lines in the rear. They were also a nightmare to get off. I guess with a 127k on the clock it should have been expected, but the front came off without much trouble so I thought the rears would be just as simple, boy was I wrong!!

Anyway, job completed. Much cursing, swearing, swollen, and bloody parts, but it's finally over and done with.

Also, finally got the GoPro in action. Went and played softball today and used it on the drive there and back. I will say the GoPro editing software you can download for free sucks. When you get to the second step (editing) where you can drop and drag what you want to edit into the timeline, well, I have no timeline. I even uninstalled the program and reinstalled, same result. So I used another program I downloaded for free a little while back when I made the TL LED turn signal comparison video. It has the watermark in the video because I used the free version, but oh well, it doesn't really ruin what you're looking at anyway. So without further ado.....

Did you try an open ended wrench on those lines? That should have worked, first try!

Looks awesome, man...seriously. Great work.

The video...well. Let's just say you're making me mad because I love how fast it looks.

GREAT FUCKING VIDEO! now THAT is how a video should be taken...someone in here needs to take notes

the BOV sounds SICK, the car sounds AWESOME...the acceleration looks insanely quick...ohh all that back and forth with Kraftwerks seems like it was worth it in the end...

Thank you my friend.

Thanks Anil. It really definitely does pick up fast. When I get on it I really try and pay attention to the RPM as to not hit the rev limiter, so half the time I shift a little early. I'm still pissed at Kraftwerks for all that has happened and I still haven't taken it to the S2Ki forums. Every time I want to sit down and figure out what to write I just get lazy and don't feel like going through every single email I sent back and forth and compiling all the info needed to get my point across. I feel like doing that, it won't really change anything and it will fall on deaf ears anyway.

buddy if I were you, I would write that post...

KW is a biggg and reputed company and you are not telling people to not buy from them or buy the rortex SC and go a different route...all you are trying to do is warn some newbs out there on what could be the point of failure and how you went around solving it! Seemed like you had a great installer/tuner but if someone is trying to install it at home, he would certainly like to know what could be the point of failure and how to resolve it...

I would def have Jeremy look over the post (and am sure he can provide ample support on the forums towards ya), and format the post in a way that you are leaving some room for them to provide you with something to take that sour feeling out...changes of that are slim but you never know...get enough traction on the thread and boom

either way man, enjoy the car, and I kid you not, I was not tempted towards an S2000 until now

Don't volunteer someone else to do something.

Just your post alone makes me want to go take a sh*tty upside down video of me taking a dump in a bowl of cheerios. If I had a gopro and mount...and was trying to show acceleration...I'd make a video like this. My contour videos aren't great and half the time the stupid thing won't turn on or record properly. As stated, I was recording sound, which I could do pointing at me, the sky, or my junk...doesn't really matter. In addition, I wasn't aiming to please one brown man. I was trying to share how it sounded for others considering that particular combination of parts. I explained it already, but musta been a little tough to grasp.

nah, wasnt tough to grasp at all Jeremy, not visiting your thread should have been enough to show how much I care about your videos or car or progress for that matter

Chip's video was on point, shows the street, easy to see how acceleration works, the exhaust note was awesome to hear/figure out, so was engine note...and I dont mind staring at his face or junk if it came to that....

maybe you havent explored all of the features of contour? stop taking a dump in the cheerios and start reading the manual?

Sounds great! Not used to hearing a BOV on a supercharged car. Kinda funky.

Sorry to hear the brakes were a pain. Bright side - they won't have to be done for a while now. How do you like the SS lines? Never experienced the change from rubber to steel lines.

So this comes down to you wanting to stare at Chip's junk but not mine? It's okay...I'm not everyone's taste. Even that post makes no fkng sense and contradicts what you said prior about suggesting video quality.

Yeah, you cared so little you brought it back up in someone else's thread. You were just butthurt that I didn't agree with you so you decided you'd "punish me" by not bothering with my threads anymore. I see that more as a punishment to yourself since you don't get to bask in my amazingness and videos and pictures.

You're not always right. Staying away from me and my threads is a good way to avoid that truth.

Just because you're smart doesn't mean you're smarter than everyone else.

My old Accord was the same on the rear. They rent this tool at Autozone and other parts stores: OEM/18 pcs. disc brake caliper tool 27113 at AutoZone.com

Makes it MUCH easier (I ended up just buying a set on Amazon.)

Car looks great, SC sounds amazing, video is nicely done. All's well that ends well Chip!

Video is just meh

Also, the contour was a gift about 5 years ago...and the firmware isn't supported any more. I have read and done troubleshooting and still have issues with it. Maybe I'll give the gopro a shot too...that's a good price and the video is fantastic...I was watching a side by side of the cheap one and the black version 69 and I swear...the picture on the cheap one was not only just as good...it was better.

Damn, Anil....you're hard up for a fight this morning. Take a deep breath man.

Just to offer an outside perspective, I'm not in here often, but this is probably the 4th or 5th post I've seen you make about Jeremy's videos. You seem pretty hung up on it for some reason...which is probably why he's wondering why you don't "grasp" his logic behind it. In any event, time to move on....this isn't a videography forum, it's an automotive forum. Let's enjoy the vids for what they are and be happy.

I know I can be an antagonistic person sometimes...but I really do feel like I'm taking crazy pills sometimes. I post the damn thing...oh nice, but must make a suggestion. Thanks but that wasn't the point...no it sucks, really you should feel bad...but that wasn't why I posted it...fk u you aren't getting the point.

Know it alls that don't know it all or just can't stand down and say sure man...sorry, I was wrong. G'dammit...small man syndrome. You're still cool...you're still nice...but sometimes you can be those things AND be wrong! IMAGINE THAT.

Then when I even preface my post with sorry if I'm coming across like a dk...I get a "yeah you always are a dk" response...I show humility and am met with him capitalizing on it as a dig on me. That just irks me.

You know John...when they legalize it...I'm gonna just take your last name and we can live together and not have to hide any more.

That said...if I'm being real. I do think it would be much more awesome if all my videos looked like what Chip posted. I really am going to consider the gopro because even my older vids weren't great. I bought that monster mount but I can't put the DSLR on the wind deflector or the rear window...maybe only with the gopro I would be able to.

What impressed me most was the sound...sounded great with top down...wasn't all WIND sound.

Yeah GoPro's have good microphones surprisingly...

It's okay Jeremy, you don't gotta apologize for your behavior at all. It's human nature to defend yourself when being attacked. Sometimes jokes get taken too far and if one party doesn't know when they're crossing the line, things can get heated. At the end of the day, we're all car enthusiasts here and remember, there's always more than one way to do something. Your way may not always be the right way but you work with what you've got!

I'm glad you guys let it out though, it's good to vent

:gheyhug: hug it out guys.

LOL...Thanks Johnny.

John...too bad, we're coming out.

It's not just this topic...Anil and I just have a communication barrier...we both must have the same weakness to keep bumping heads like this. He can't be wrong, I don't like being told I'm wrong. Bad combo...gotta be gracious about your part in an argument though.

Alright, I'll STFU now...

Chip, I REALLY want to see this car accelerate from another car...like, watch it pull away...I'm sure it's crazy fast from that perspective.

plus.. the latest actioncam filters out wind noise.. shiet.. gopro doesn't even have image stabilization yet.. and wind noise reduction.. better invest in a sponge.

I'm gonna fiddle with the contour tonight, see if I can get it mounted to that new mount. See if I can get it to work and such. See, good comes from being ridiculed.

"Constructive criticism" they say..

Doesn't the contour have just a regular 1/4" thread so you can thread it onto that mount?

Or you can get one of these things:

Thanks Aman, yeah the BOV does sound a little odd with the SC because the SC is always making boost even at idle. So when driving around casually and shifting easy, the BOV opens to vent so it almost sounds like it's leaking. When you go WOT and shift, the pssshh sound is more distinct and clear cut.

As far as the SS lines, it's hard to tell. The pedal feels solid overall, but it's hard to really pin point how much the SS lines really effect it though, since new rotors, pads, and fluid were added to the mix. I've never done SS lines as a mod by itself before, but I've heard it's one of the single best mods you can actually do for your car. When I had them on my WRX, I also added them when I changed to a bigger caliper in combination with new pads and rotors.

Thanks Johnny, yeah that set you posted would have been a life saver. I actually bought some $12 cube to turn them in.
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/dis...FU-QHwodS2UAoQ
Man what a piece of junk that was. Got it to turn some with it, but ultimately got it to turn in with a straight allen key with a T handle. Leverage with that cube was one of the biggest issues.

J, you should really get the GoPro and the wind deflector mount from Modifry, you'll love it and neither really breaks the bank. Sure you can get the high priced Hero 4 and spend big bucks, but I went with the entry level Hero and it works great. The video quality should be better than what was posted on YouTube, but not being able to use the GoPro software you can download might have been what effected that. Because when I watch the videos I pulled straight off the GoPro on my computer, they look much more crisp.

Also, about the sound. The GoPro comes with a solid back for a total waterproof seal, however I heard it muffles the microphone some. It also comes with a skeleton back, which frees up the microphone for better sound quality. My video was taken with the skeleton back on and I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality as well. I thought for sure there was going to be much more wind noise than what there was.

I say go fro it brother, though that Sony Action Cam does look really nice. Too bad Modifry doesn't make a mount for it. Btw, with the GoPro editing software you can change saturation and exposure just like a picture, so if things come out a little dark or bright, you can fix it.

hold on a fucking second...who the fuck mentioned anything about Jeremy's videos?

it was more ques towards myself...I have tried taking videos and I absolutely suck at em, hence I never post em up! I thought it was clear by mentioning "I dont even mind staring at his face or junk"

I thought you caught that Jeremy when you mentioned "Even that post makes no fkng sense and contradicts what you said prior about suggesting video quality." but I guess not...

Jeremy, this is the second time in this thread you have taken my post wrong and thought it was a fucking attack on ya...the first time was with the wheels budget in this very thread just a few pages back...why would I make a comment about your car in Chip's thread LOLOL? I mentioned about some constructive criticism in your thread, and since I didnt feel it was welcomed, I stopped frequenting your thread...whats that to do with all the hoopla logic that you mentioned...its very simple, isnt it?

...and who the fuck cares about online "punishment" and stuff...I come online, I frequent a handful of threads and leave, I dont hold a grudge, and I hope thats clear because if I did, its simple, we would never talk...hell even when not on here, I would text ya after seeing pics on flickr to say how awesome they look...

its amazing how you can mend and flex simple words dude...

If you don't need wifi, the hdr-as15 was less than 100. I think the AS15 and AS20 are discontinued. Slickdeals did have the 100v for $99. Deals are out there.. just be patient.

.. you think I'm witty?!.. I thought everyone just thought I was an asshole.
.. my life force is good.. even if it rubs others the wrong way (or right depending on which way your wiener hangs).

plus.. the latest actioncam filters out wind noise.. shiet.. gopro doesn't even have image stabilization yet.. and wind noise reduction.. better invest in a sponge.
I have heard the same about Garmin Virb...I am tempted to get that...its a debate in my head between that and the Action Cam

Never heard of it.. but consider Sony has been in the video stabilization and audio game for many years. Plus it's dirt cheap in comparison.
