What up Aziners!
After looking at all these sexy TLs, I figured I should put up my own. It's a 2004 TL AT with Navi, 40k miles on the odometer. Got it last year and I still smile whenever I sit in it and turn the ignition key! Mods so far: 19" Privat Netz, black with polished lip, on Yokohama S-Drives 235/35/19, A-Spec suspension, and window visors. Upcoming mods include A-spec body kit, Type-S headlights, side markers and tailights (all parts sitting in my garage, just need time to install them).
On a side note, my dealer called me to let me know that he has a 2008 TL Type-S coming in next week. It's WDP and has the 6-speed tranny. Is it worth trading my car in or seeling it for that one? Is there that much of a difference between the base and Type-S? Anyway, any suggestions or comments about the car are welcome.
Cheers!
Welcome.
Not much except red cluster/instrument panel, sharper MID, updated Navigation, backup camera, side mirror turn signals, 3.5L engine, DRL, fog lights, and quad exhaust.

Welcome! The 6spd type-s IMO is a big upgrade from your 5spd base. Whats the difference after trading in your car? If you're financially stable, you should atleast visit your dealer and try it out.
Your car is nice and I'm sure it'll turn out pretty clean after more mods, so dont jump the gun and ask yourself if you really want a newer, more powerful, higher quality TL.

your car looks like it's in great shape and if it still makes you happy, maybe save your money. especially if you have all those great things ready to go in your garage. that's one hell of a good-lookin '04.
Nice car man, where are you from in Canada? & and I just traded my 06 with navi for a 07 Type - S, and all I've got to say is you have the $$ do it. Be warned, the price to upgrade will be steep though, you know how dealers are.
Thanks for the comments guys! I didn't discuss trade-in options with the dealer, but I suspect the trade-off would not be in my favor, even though I bought the car from the same dealer a year ago and barely put any miles on it, not to mention the fact that I would be buying another car from the same dealer. I have a potential buyer for my car, but I'm not sure how serious he is, so I'm thinking of keeping this one and paying it off. I am going to test drive the Type-S next week, so you never know. If I decide to buy it, I guess you can expect another introduction LOL.
Thanks again for your comments!

Update

What up fellow Aziners!
I decided to do the responsible thing and keep the 04 TL instead of trading it in for the 08 Type-S. Made a few changes to the car: Replaced the 19" Privat Netz with some A-spec rims (still haven't decided what to do with the Privat Netz yet, I may just end up selling them), added the A-spec body kit, OEM window visors, Type-S headlights, tails and side markers. The car now has 45k on it, and I still love it! Less than 1 year before it's paid off, so when that happens I might consider an upgrade to a TL-S or a 4G TL.
Yes I know my car looks like many others on the site, but I'm happy with it and that's all that matters.
All comments are welcome.
Cheers!
Thanks for the comments guys!!
And yes I'm in Canada, from Montreal!!
It was hard to pass up a Type-S, but I think I made the right decision. I'll probably end up getting a 4G TL SH-AWD to handle the harsh Canadian winters. Wasn't feeling the front of it at first, but it's starting to grow on me. I don't know if I could drive anything other than an Acura, it would be like cheating on my wife LOL.
