LED Dome Lights

I just came back from China couple weeks ago and got a few set of these LEDs for the dome light. I have the 12 LEDs and 24 LEDs dome light. The one I have on my car are the 24 LED dome light. Photo are color corrected. If you were to stare at it for about 30 second to 1 minute, you'll be disoriented. Final words, these are hella BRIGHT. There is another Japanese company makes something similar to these but not as bright as these.

I should be importing these in a few weeks or a month since they are being shipped. Then I will see if these sells here if I have enough interest here.

So here are the pics.

Both back and front windows are down.

Windows are up and my tint are medium dark tint

Comparison of the stock 168 style bulb and the 24LEDs kit

Hahaha...No porno Ray!

As for the LEDs, I'm blue in the interior, but I wouldn't mind having one for the trunk!

Oh ok thats good then, I have all blue and although it's bright, it's not practical, cant actually see anything inside. White in the front domes and blue in the door and rear domes would be perfect imo

I have not determine the price yet. The item I am getting are "raw products". Which means there is no package. So I am getting it directly from the manufacturer. Once I get them, I will physically test them out before it will be ship out. I know for the fact that other LED dome lights sells for $55 to $60. I will try to sell it less than that.

Just to give you an example, there is a Japanese company sell the similar item a 6 LED Dome light for $50. PIAA have a 6 LEDs dome light for $60.

I have friends brought those and honestly to tell you the one I gotten are much brigther than PIAA and the other Japanese brand. So will see if I have enough interest here so I can or might sell it here.

You're the vendor and you gotta do what makes sense, but for $50... I'll keep my $4 superbrightleds. PIAA's are more than overpriced these days.

superlumination.com priced me out of thier market with thier $25 led clusters (which for $25, they are the bigger 7443 cluster bulbs with luxeon leds, thier 912/168/interior led are NO MORE than $10 each). I now buy mainly from v-leds on ebay. Cooler, more quality products there, and most leds are under $20 delivered a pair.

So, again, I dunno where you're doing your market research, but $50 leds are not the norm. If you plan to sell these for more than $10, most folks will shop elsewhere... at least I will.

I've been waiting for the little "square" PCB board leds to come out. V-leds has those too, but I haven't seen a version in white yet. That would be perfect if you installed the board above the license plate lens. I have the interior leds back there now, but these would shine more light straight down on the plate.
They'd also be great in the vanity mirrors and trunk.

I think that would be an AWESOME alternative to the cold cathode b

Ray, am I reading that right? $50 for one LED??? If so, they may be bright(er) compared to what I have, but they don't justify that amount of expense. I'm not unhappy with my current setup, just was interested in something different. Kennedy made a very good point, at your expense (excuse the pun).

No thanks.

Maybe ( ) it's $50 for a full interior set?? That'd be more in line.

I think I spent ~$65 (incl shipping) with SuperBrightLeds for a full set of Interior/License/Reverse lights.

I did some research on these LEDs and those other off brands as well. And I also did some searching on ebay as well. I have yet to compare those and the one I am getting in, but I know when I was testing out the Luxer1 and PIAA, I found that the one we have are 20-30% brighter.

As for the pricing, I am base on what other are selling for (Hence Luxer1, PIAA or Raybrig) But rest assure you that the price will be a lot cheaper since I am getting a raw products. So I'll have to see what I sell these for in a later date.

Wait... Lemme try these leds out.

I have a set of CC tubes. Never installed em. Kinda "clugy" to install em with the aluminum foil and zip ties... LEDs I have are working great as well... Just looking for something that'll trump those tubes in a PnP scenario.

What really put me off, was when I tried to install the tubes, I found the backup camera screws interfered a bit. I always though the "hand machining" of the custom lenses was kinda lame as well... Seemed like a good way to introduce leaks.

Wifey hates the front blues, she hates how it distorts certain colors.

Like maybe normal dome light dim.

Dimmer than walking into a white room and getting flashbanged 10 times.
