Laying Carbon Fiber isn't so bad

Laying Carbon Fiber isn't so bad
I have been thinking about changing the wood out to CF in my car but I didn't like any of the fake or even real sticker options. So I bought a spare center console on eBay, some CF fabric and some epoxy and got to work. Just finishing up the three console pieces and surprisingly enough its going very well. After a few more layers of epoxy and some wet sanding i'm home free!! I love wet sanding too its so rewarding! Stay tuned for more progress.

-(EPOX-635311) Epoxy with 3:1 Ratio Medium Epoxy Hardener

I referenced several DIYs before and never once saw anyone using any type of vacuum bleeder when wrapping CF pieces. I have see vacuums used to create plastic moulds but when laying CF any air bubbles you have are easily removed wisping a small blow torch over the surface of the epoxy after you coat it on. Also most epoxies have pretty good self leveling properties.

I can't lie, I really enjoyed it. I'll post what I thought about it in Ramblings if there is a thread for it. I don't want to steer this thread off course by talking about an animated movie

Where are the pics of the finished pieces installed.
I would really like to see what this looks like compared to the real CF kit you can buy.
I know the kit is pricey........ But you know you'll get uniformity with the weave and eveness throughout all pieces. You can call it a "sticker" but it's a REAL CF sticker. What's the difference between that and what you did?
