KidoPham's Progress Thread-2013 Supercharger build

Hey wassup Azine,

I've been lurking on here for a couple of years ever since I got my 07 WDP TL Type S back on February 2009 a couple days after I turned 18. Horrible financial mistake, but I'm glad I made it. It has taught me alot about how financing works, car insurance, car maintenance, and overall how hard it is to pay for all of this. Anyhow I just started making posts on here about a year ago and wanted to do a build thread for a long time but I have been putting it off.

Acurazine is awesome but what makes it really awesome is all the people on here. I have learned so much from being on here and just reading through all the posts. Its also one of the reasons that my xbox 360 and ps3 has been sitting and collecting dust for the past couple of years

Also the day I found this site is also the day that my savings account was just burned through LOL I'm just glad that my wife has been supportive of this hobby that has turned into a lifestyle.

February 2009-Acura of Bellevue, WA
One of the Happiest days of my life, I get my dream car:

Picked her up with 22k miles

A couple months later I get my first mod, OEM window visors

This is an awesome car and I enjoyed it alot. I drove it all over the Pacific Northwest. Camping, Snowboarding, to the coast, to eastern wa and Idaho. I remembered getting pulled over after I got off the ferry from Kingston to Edmonds and the officer asked me where I was coming from and why my car was packed. I told him camping and he just gave me this surprised look Its a comfortable car and very fun to drive and made all my trips and adventure so I enjoyed driving to my destination just as much as my destination.

Frankenstein Roof Rack, Yakima Mounts and crossbars with Thule Snowboard Racks

Chained up

Summer 2010

And then I trust my girlfriend to drive the car

So I worked the entire night before and as soon as I get home, she wants me to drive her to her family picnic on the Olympic Peninsula a couple of hours away. Being way too tired to drive I told her to drive, well never again. With my car. I wake up literally 3 seconds before she rearends her brother and I scream like a B$$$H Her brothers car is totaled and luckily for me I got New Hood, Headlights, Front Bumper and A-Spec Lip, and Core Support. It costs me almost 5k out of pocket and luckily her brother claimed with his own insurance. I had the car repaired a shop that Acura sends their cars and they do a lot of corvettes and high end cars. All OEM parts and I made sure to check everything the day I picked it back up.

Right after I get her back

And I decided she needed her own car after that fiasco

Fast forward a little bit, January 2012

I started getting a little bored of the car, still a great car, just needed a new look for some excitement

Coil overs and Wheels

Install Day

As I went to start tightening the bolt, one of the studs broke on the top mount Marcus at Heeltoe auto was awesome as always, sent me a whole new top mount.

Finished installing after two hours of screwing around and unfortunately it was dark, at 5:30-6pm. Winters are depressing here in the NW

Next day, got my tires mounted and got the drop more dialed in. I did not want to drive around plowing leaves or snow.

My brother and I at NW Built 2012

Then Camping came around, had to decide whether to take the TSX and save gas or the TL and have some fun out on the open straight roads of eastern wa. That was an easy choice.

Day 1 coeur d'alene, ID

Day 2 Lake Chelan, WA

Day 3 Grand Coulee Dam, WA
The Elders are posted up in the back

Car Wash Before heading to Leavenworth, WA

Not at the time but now it would not matter. At the time I had the opportunity to get the 6speed but did not know how to drive a manual. I regret it everyday Next car will be stick for sure. Been leaning towards getting an AP1 S2k

Yeh making this thread is almost like reliving the journey..

Met some wonderful ppl in the regions section, mostly all TSX guys but it was nice to hang out with all Acura owners for a change.

Also thanks to CarbonTSex I met one of his buddies that hooked it up with the ATLP Exhaust, made me fall in love with my car all over again

my old exhaust looks like crap

Finished Product

Lynnwood Import Show End of August 2012

It is awesome, one of the best mods for the car in my opinion. It also has better clearance than the factory J-pipe.

Love everything about your car except the sunroof visor. Keep up the good work.

That supercharger is different. Is that the m90 supercharger from the new york area? That thing should be a beast. Gonna install yourself?

Car looks awesome dude!

I dont think you can cover up where it normally says acura on the front? its like stamped in so i think the only way you would be able to cover it is if you had it filled and sanded and all that jazz so it wouldnt show? so if it was just painted it would still be there if im thinking correctly... either way she looks great

Why? Just because I had my brother cover the Acura logo when he painted it? My brother repaints my bumper and lip every spring because I can not keep myself from scraping the heck out of it during the winter. Plus the crappy roads here don't help either. Really though at this point I could care less about this bumper. I'm looking into getting a versus or some other aftermarket bumper for a more aggressive look.

Thanks man it has been a crazy and fun journey. Learned a lot and had a lot of experiences with this car.

Yeh I'm not huge fan either, I got it for free when I bought the car so I figured why not put it on. It's coming off as soon as my roof gets vinyled black though.
My brother will be installing it. He's the one that puts in most of the work on my cars. And yes this supercharger came from that area. It belonged to acktl05

I don't think so, I think I've came across a couple others before. Maybe the first Type S to use an M90 Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
