JLsTypeS Alabaster Silver Type S Build Thread
I decided to start a build thread after owning my car for about six months. It is a 2007 Acura TL Type S 6 speed manual transmission. It has about 98,000 miles on it.
This is what the car looked like when I bought it.

Long story short, I was jacking up my car to put my new ASPEC rims on and this happened. The jack slipped and pushed the radiator up about two inches preventing the hood from closing and the radiator cracked.

Then I decided to get the Tein Street Advance coilovers and had them installed with my Type S Waffles on the car.

Then traded a fellow AZ member my Type S tail lights for his custom Acktl05 tail lights.

Finally got the radiator fixed and had my ASPEC rims put on.

And this is how my car sits today. On 18x9.5 +20 Miro 398 rims with 225/40/18 Michelin Sport A/S Plus tires. Not sure exactly how low I am, not too much though. I still need to get my fenders rolled so that I can lower the car a bit more and then decide if I need to get a camber kit. I was either buying these Miro 398's or the XXR 530's. I like how they look especially with the big lip. If they made a 18x9 +20 I would have gotten those so that the fronts wouldn't poke as much, but I can live with it.

Next time I will probably get 215/40/18 or 225/35/18 tires so that I have a little more room to lower the car and not worry about rubbing. I'm not rubbing at this height but I'm pretty positive that it will rub if I lower it more and don't have the fenders rolled.

Thanks guys! My next mod will be to buy the ASPEC lip kit and have it painted to match my car. Don't have the finances right now but hopefully by next summer I will have some mods done to the engine. Want to get a j pipe, cold air intake, and exhaust. And maybe saving up for some Advan or Volk rims. I know Varrstoen isn't of the same quality of those two but I really like the ES3's.
For sure! There is another guy that's cincy local who I PM'd. Hopefully we can get the list of guys growing! I just ordered one of the redlinegoods armrests for my TL and the Roof spoiler from bmwoemstore. I'll need help with that armrest for sure, your the interior man!

Good work, man...I like that you're on the path to not overdoing it...a little roll and go slightly lower and you'r golden.
Kick arse and

Thanks bro. Yeah I agree, rims, rolled fenders, and lowered looks the best to me. I'm not a huge fan of the 10.5 rears and cambering the heck out of your car. My next exterior mod will be the ASPEC kit.

SMH.........did he REALLY just do that? LOL
I'm moving out on the 5th so I probably won't have time for a little while. But I'll let you know. I might just have you keep the aspec rims at your house just to get them out of the way and you can pay me whenever you get paid. My fiancé doesn't like the fact of me bringing three sets of rims to the apartment.

I like how these look....with 9.5 you can get a little concave with the TE37 styled rims....anything under that will be flat flaced styled...
if you are thinking the less wider rims will be 'flusher' that actually depends on offset and tire size....
Right now I'm looking at some 19x9 +38. Any idea if these will clear brembos? The 9.5 +20 makes the rear rims really camber and I'm going through my michelin tires way too fast. I figured 9 +38 would help as long as it clears the brembos.
