jiggad369's The Basterdized Build
The Basterdized Build.
More grease and less cha-ching!
Shall we?
First up: The Basterdized UCM.
Didn't want to hack away so kept it clean. Have to clean up the holes more but time ran out and had to get the damn cowl back on.
Looks good from far away and hopefully it's doing it's job.
Thanks goes out to Inaccurate for the idea and math.
Next up: PXAMG AUX install.

What is this?:
PXAMG AUX adapter install.
Next up:
Oil Catch Can
What is done:
DIY Oil Catch Can.
I did not like the idea of the intake breathing the vapors form the rear valve cover. So I pulled out the OCC from my Maxima and went to Target to buy some stainless steel sponge/scrub pads. I dismantled the sponge and stuffed it into the can through the bottom. What this will do is capture the vapors coming from the valve cover and collecting it on the bottom as oil drippings. Simple yet effective mod.
Next up: DIY grounding kit.

I have them in sizes that won't even fit any computer screen.
Check them out on my Flickr.

LOL. By clean I meant not hack up the entire cowl. I just wanted some ventilation and the damn drill bit wouldn't stay straight. It's the angel I took on the picture but it's not that lopsided if standing over by the door.
The OCC is a generic one from ebay.

THe only problem you will run into is the outlet from the valve cover and inlet for the stock intake accordion tube is too big for a fitting to match up to the OCC hose. It took me forever to find a solution but what I did is buy 1/2" hose from Autzone, which fit perfectly on the valve cover outlet. Then the other end is fitted over a small piece of 3/8" hose and clamped down. Repeated the same for the outlet from the OCC.
It might be over kill but it's preventing any oil vapors from entering the air. Me like.

I took some pics. when I got my tints done. Here they are.
HTC Rezound. The cameras on phones today are almost the same. It's just that photography is a hobby of mine and developed a good sense of shooting. I wonder what I can do with a quality DSLR.

Thanks Steve!
Yeah for $17 it's a steal IMO. When I replace the navi screen with a tablet, it will come in quite handy.
I always wanted a DSLR but its too bulky and expensive plus this phone takes some killer shots. Just check out the clarity on this pic.

well, phones do have a great macro capability...but trust me, DSLR will take you to the next level.
HERE, 50MM and 1.8F lens, very little skill and some guidance from my forum buddies:
The camera did all the work, very hard to capture that clarity for an image that picks up so much foreground, backround etc. I bought my DSLR used on the forums for $380...
Just sayin! You could go from awesome to spectacular!

Nice work so far. Clean pics for a phone too.
Side note: I'm thinking that rear trunk spoiler should've been mounted about an inch further back. Looks strange in that pic, but it might just be the angle...more pics?

So I had to do my first oil change today and got me some Mobil 1 EP and RP 2808 filter.
Then I had the urge to do something. Will this ever end?
So I went about and turned my SRI into a Stock Ram Intake.
Pulled these bad boys off the stock accordian tube...
Then deleted the entire intake resonator system, cutoff the tube entering into the bumper and attached the velocity stack+ Dryflo...
Sorry for the bad quality pic. Very uncharatesristic of me.
Growl, growl.
Can you see me?
