JayVee's 3G TL

Bird is the Word
I understand keeping the build a secret on a local forum if you're into racing people for money. No one in this 3G TL section is in the same league as a built, TT Mustang and there shouldn't be any reason to be coy about your build.

While we are on this brief down time and reassembly has started on its way. I would like to share (again...) MY NEW WHEELS! lol! It was extremely difficult to decide between ForgeStar F14's, CF10's or these Tech 7's. Sold the 20's which I was never really "Sold" on myself. And picked up the brand new just released RTR Tech 7's.
Designed and inspired by both HRE & Vaughn Gittin Jr through American Muscle dot com I will be running a staggered fitment 19x9.5 fron and 19x10.5 rear wrapped in 305/35/19 NITTO NT05R. Should look amazing and should be fun! Stay Tuned

The official wheels on the RTR Race cars obviously have deep lips to cover the wide stance and widebody flares. These wheels are the, if you would practical release.

The RTR by HRE is a forged 3 piece wheel.
RTR by HRE - Tech 7 @ HRE Performance Wheels
*Note the multi-piece design and HRE markings.
What you've posted for us is a flow formed monoblock version.
RTR Black Mustang Custom Wheel @ AmericanMuscle
*Same design without the forged aluminum, 3 piece design, or HRE markings.
There is a difference. About $700 worth of difference.
Still sweet looking wheels. For a moment I thought they were going on a 3G and I was like "WHAT WHAT?!" I was intrigued.

yes, not exactly what I call practical. The same exact well used by VG Jr. and the Monster Race Team although available at approx $1900ea. Ouch! But Yes. btw, your AM Link goes to the old version 1 of the RTR wheels.
>>> RTR Tech 7 Black Mustang Wheel - 19x10.5 384238 (05-14 All)
anyways, can't wait...More to come. Assembly starts now!

OH OH My apologies. When you said they were impractical I figured spec wise they werent practical. I was like WTF GET DEM!!
But yes, monetarily speaking they are a bit impractical and honestly simply not worth $1,900 per wheel. You're buying into the Monster name at that price. Forged wheels simply should not be that expensive. Not even forged 3 piece wheels.
I read Forgestar then RTR and HRE and my mind was spinning. I was expecting some forged possibly split rim HREs not monoblock flow formed wheels. Nothing wrong with flow formed tech and the design looks great. Way better IMO than a lot of the wheels I see.
Can't wait to see them.

It was difficult to choose between the 2 ForgeStar and the RTR Tech 7. Already having a set of F14s I think made up my mind to go with the BRAND NEW RELEASED Tech 7s. With the same monoblock flow form technique as ForgeStar, the Tech 7s weigh in at a respectable 24lbs. Not bad at all. Maybe... I will keep this set as a DD set. lol! I go through wheels like no ones business.
Like you mentioned, I am just that kind of person that will NOT pay the big money on Forged wheels. I think the most I ever paid for a set with tires and TPMS sensors complete was approx $21-2200.00 That is where I draw the line. Maybe one day, I will buy a brand new set of bead lock Weld Racing Wheels (forged) but until that day, I will buy someone else's bead lock Weld Racing Wheels...used lol!
side note update: One head is mounted to specs to the block. Its exciting. Lots more wk ahead

But, my car is a fast car for what it is. My auto transmission is what holds me back from turning the PSI dial to 13-14-15+ PSI. Manual 6spd keeps me at bay at approx 900hp and maybe 11-12psi at best before "THERE SHE BLOWS!"

I have plenty of Chevy friends. They deliver mail, pick up my recycle bin, wash my windshield But for real, I do have plenty Chevy friends and we always bust each other chops. At the end, its run yo car not yo mouth and loser buys the beer. On IG, we constantly go at it with memes. Good Times

I just came off a week ban/suspension for a post with a brown bag full of penises and a large coke. It was on the lines of what Chevy Boys eat. Someone apparently was a lil butt hurt and reported the post as inappropriate. So I was banned from any post remarks or comments for a week. lol
Its IG ppl...why so serious? It definitely was not one of my buddies and clearly someone took offense outside our circle. That just how they are...lol It was hilarious tho!
