Not only performance and speed...Gotta get her right in all levels!
Just dropped off the whip at a buddy's of mine house. Dude is a JACK OF ALL TRADES and ACE at most! Paint & Detail is one of his majors and we worked out a lil deal and he is doing a full paint correction on my finish. I know I get teh same response here as I do on IG and other sites, "Car looks GREAT" and all "SHINY" and stuff liek that but the truth is...I am embarrassed. lol! The paint looks good from 10ft + closer it gets bad quick. Heavy swirl and spider webs all over the clear and sediment when the car sat for 4mo after the motor blew.
Week 1 when the motor let go, a buddy of mine offered to hold the car till I was able to figure out how to tow it back to Tampa from Clearwater. His shop was directly outside the gates of the track. Its a paint shop. Yes, while it was there it also caught some over spray all on the hood, fenders, roof and the top side half of the car pretty much all the way back. As if the over spray was falling from above only. From the door handles down was still smooth.
Now all that is going to be corrected. Pics on my IG already show the sampled area 50/50 from clay bar alone testing out a section. WOW! huge difference. More to come and I will post the pics from IG to here and share the processes & improvements. Thanks

Just pics bro. Nothing personal or all out. I said that with more meaning then what it really is. Just pics. I never experienced any BS there so all is good. UNLIKE the stories I hear from FB. I don't have a FB and never plan on one either. I belong to a few car sites and IG...That is it.

I definitely see your point. Its all about FAN base and SELLIN OUT! I see your point and agree. I personally can give 2 shits and a bucket if ppl follow or not. I share and share alike, respect and keep it movin. Not bad tho at 830+ followers for someone who is Self Sponsored, not sellin or whoring out and BUYING followers. Here's one for me and my IG ~ #SELFMADE bishes

Yeah it was bad. But don't get me wrong, prior to the over spray car looked good and shinned! Yes, it did have its spider web and swirls but that is the life of BLACK! Every time I washed and spray detailed it, bling! Until of course those who know what they are looking at would see the flaws up close. Other then that The over spray was my breaking point tho. No way I can live with that feeling like 2000+ grit sandpaper

This is so true. The spider webs and swirls are from products touching the surface that are prolly not recommended. Even if we think and assume they are. Like myself, which is no KNOW ALL of paint and finish feel I use safe and soft enough products and I was proven wrong. But, I won't take the full blame only the past 9mo blame. The car had many flaws before me and when I purchased it I noticed the swirls etc. I just tried to hide em and not add to em. lol!

Absolutely, Josh, you're starting with a clean slate...looks great.
I got to that point once, almost...I swear, even being crazy about 2 bucket method I got them back, not as bad as before, but still.
Just keep it well waxed and it'll look great forever.

I get a lot of pride knowing I was able to take a car from bad to sparkling. It's a lot of work, but really worth the time.

UPDATE: This was the worse side from day 1 I bought the car. It just was never right! Always had a tint of haze, swirls and just always looked off. There was even 1 spot that always killed me when washed and spray waxed that seem to be troubled or maybe even burnt in the past with a orbital... No more troubles ~ BTW, its not even waxed yet. Wax comes today and hopefully COMPLETION!

Looks fantastic, man.
No...definitely not once...it can be done every year or so, after the winter (for those northern folks). Good cleaning practices will make it so you don't have to do it as aggressively next time though...just maintain it. The right way is to have a paint gauge that lets you know how many microns thick the paint is so you know when to stop before you go through the clear. Also, not all paint for all manufacturers is created equally. Honda is known for being a very soft paint. Easier to correct, easier to scratch.
Just made me realize that I'm glad my Dad gave me his dual yellow halogen lights that he was gonna throw away. I was thinking, WTF do I need this for. Now I know!
Fk that.
Steven, you have silver, that doesn't count! You don't even know what swirls are!

Jeremy, that's true-Silver is VERY forgiving. But, I've worked on other cars with swirls.

My TL has those horrible swirls and webs like you had (from previous owner), need to buff it out when summer comes. I just keep it dirty for the time being so it hides everything. Impossible to keep it clean in the winter anyway :P
