The exhaust fitment is completely off,the seat covers are horrendous, and Jenna Jameson looks like even she would have trouble wrapping her hands around that steering wheel cover.

thanks man i appriciate the comments good and bad, not that i'm going to do this anytime soon, but most of you's are saying if i took off the steering wheel cover and seat covers.. my car then would be what? just like everyone else's? so much for originality and imagination, i guess cookie cutter is what people want to see on the site, that just boggles my mind

Be like everyone else? I don't get this mentality....Then again, I don't see the point of taking 10 steps backwards ricing out your interior to be different. Thats like living in LA, having a hot GF then beating her silly so she stands out from the crowd at a movie premier. Some people are like that, yes. Sheep. They follow what everyone else does, but aside from doing everything custom, there aren't really a lot of aftermarket options for this car. The things that you've added, haven't made your car more original in a good way.

For instance, I will be doing some custom interior work in my car, but what I'm not going to do is go out and buy some cheap seat covers. I'm going to go to an upholstery shop and have them do what I want, the right way. You just need to put more thought into HOW you're going to make your car stand out from the rest IN A POSITIVE WAY. But you'll find, most of the time it takes a lot more $$ to do so.

One more thing OP, no matter what car forum you go on that is model specific, almost all of the cars are going to look the same to some extent. I was, and still am, on a 6thgen Accord forum, and almost all the cars there look the same; blacked out headlights, drop, wheels, lip kit, etc.. Evan (ABP_04TL) knows what I'm talking about, he was on the same board.

So far, the progress of the car looks like it is heading in the right direction. To be honest, the only hang-up I have is the length of the exhaust tips and how the mufflers hang. If it is in the way that you like them, please disregard what I'm going to suggest to you. See if they can cut the tips down about an inch, perhaps even stagger them so that they flow better with the contours of the body lines. If there is any room to do so, see if they can raise the rear mufflers up about 1/3 of an inch or so. That should seal it for me.

I'm not going to say anything about your interior. Whatever makes you comfortable is what I think should go.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I didn't think that the East Coast comment was that big of a deal? I guess that usage of red text goes pretty far these days. Either that, or today's society has turned into a bunch of pansies and needs to lighten up. Yep. I said it.

wow... i just came back home and read everything.. i didn't know my car and what i do to it would spew such hatred! lol seriously.. wtf? i went out for a drive and thought about some of the comments, i really do like my steering wheel cover, it's not going.. the seats.. i don't know,, it's not only about changing the color of the seats, it's about protecting the leather from spills, a ciggerette ember, ect.. things happen like that,, they do have a function,, i don't feel like i wasted my money on them, but wow,, people really hate them in general i guess... maybe i will just keep them on for the summer as i go to the beach ALOT and usually have people with me,, so again it's about protecting the seats in this sense..

as for the exhaust,, the tips can be adjusted to be higher and further in if thats what it needs a bit more of, i'll work on them tomorrow and maybe i'll make somebody smile in the world lol

yea i get what your saying, there's only so much that can be done with our cars, i'll make some adjustments and get it balanced out.

 

I happen to really think ABP is HOT, and with the camel interior too! thats sexy man (personally, i would take the steering wheel cover and seats off). Enjoy whatever YOU choose to do to it man, just be prepared to have open minded members critique it up and down- just how it goes
