Intro thread/TL's 2nd Chance/ progress thread

Hey guys, My name is Danny. Somewhat new to posting but have definately been creeping around the AZ forums just soaking up the info you guys have to offer. Ill just jump right into this though and try to keep it short . About a year ago I bought a wrecked TL that i thought deserved a second chance instead of just watching it go to the boneyard. its a 2004 SSM ABP TL and here is what it looked like the first day I owned it

Replaced the upper radiator support, radiator, and got all the sheet metal fitted on it.

got it in the paint booth and ready for some color

Put it all back together and this was the final product.

Soon after i caught the mod bug and i met AZ and i lowered it with Tein springs and painted my wheels and inner part of the front aspec lip to match.

customized center caps with black reflective "A's"

I just recently purchased the remainder of the Aspec kit and I installed it so i will get some pictures up in the next few days to show you ever thing.. Let me know what you think guys!

Wow that's awesome! Looks great!

I wouldn't have painted the wheels, I love the contrast of the light color wheels with the dark colored car. Nevertheless,

Thanks guys!... and CLtotheCL32 the wheels were pretty banged up when i got it and they needed refinishing so i just wanted to tie the colors together somehow so i went with the inner lip color.. the color is growing on me a bit but i definately know what your talking about with the contrast.

Way to bring the TL back to life. Do you have any more pics from the beginning to the finished product a la Emerson's TL-S?

Here are some more in-depth pictures per mn2trance's request. NOTHING like emerson's thread but its something

My front clip I ordered

getting the clip stripped down and getting all of the good parts off of it including the upper radiator support

Got the damaged radiator support out of the car and almost ready to weld in the new one.

New Radiator support welded in the car

Fitting the new sheet metal on the car while its still up on the frame machine....in case there needs to be some extra pulling done.....

Parts all fit so now i had to get the new radiator support cut in to make it match the rest of the car

painted the car and the parts

And like I said in my earlier post that I have installed the rest of the A-spec kit so here is the finished product!! Hope the more in-depth photos are interested to you guys.
