Is there some sort of unwritten rule against putting a badge on my car? I would have expected this kind of reaction if I was going to put a Type-S badge on my car but... I guess badges are somehow offensive to this community if even bringing it up causes responses like justnspace's.

Westcoastin....just a piece of advice will be "MOD your car"....remember its your car...your money....till you like it, thats all that matters....
for every mod you will get positive and negative reaction and trust me there will be more negative responses than positive....so dont give into those, mod the car the way you like it....
worst case scenario, take the badges off

As stated earlier I plan on doing the metal grille/bondo/whatever you want to call it mod to my front end, and putting a small V6 badge somewhere discreetly on the grille. Might turn out nice, if not, i'll remove

Anyways can I see pictures of your car? Maybe i'll get some super awesome and trendy ideas from you, you seem like the person to go to.

lol I'll admit it was a little hurtful. I'm just a lonely Acura newb trying to fit into this big group of strangers. Can we be friends?
Ya the camera is sick... I was blitzed on pain killers when I was taking those pics so it was lazy and half assed... I want to take it down to the beach and get some backdrops with the ocean.
Speaking of which... if anyone is near the ventura/santa barbara area and wants to meet up for lunch and snap a few shots, hit me up.

I think you'll do just fine, here!
And I only get good results after I'm all hopped up on mountain dew. thats when my trigger finger can snap the fastest.

I do believe I've gotten myself into a bit of a pickle.
So I removed the door protectors... started at the glue with some goo gone, a rag, and a credit card. Everything was going great for the driver door, and then on the driver side passenger door, some of the clear coat started coming off. It's dark outside and I was using a headlamp to work. Hopefully I can make a better assessment in the morning, might be able to buff it out. Anyone have experience with this? Paint is definitely a grey area for me.
