actually they dont look narrow like they do in the pics. Actually it looks really mean and tough with the rims sitting just flush with the fenderwells. i will take some better shots after it is lowered next week, fenders rolled, interior LEDs are in, and it is all perty and clean up from being detailed!

as far as the other questions go, spacers are not a cardinal sin like many think. As long as you get the right ones CUSTOM made for your vehicle with a new set of studs, you will be OK.

MOST cars have a wide and flat inside "lip" inside the fenderwell that causes many larger aftermarket rims/tires to "rub" or barely scrape the inside lip. The flat and wide "lip" is rolled up and into the fender to get it out of the way to allow for more travel of the rim/tire up into the fenderwell.

Thanks again for the thumbs ups!

Your car looks HOT!!! I love the wheels they compliment the TL very well. I cant wait to see it dropped. The headlights look awesome and it gives the TL a much classier and cleaner look..

I have the same rims for sale 19x8 Axis Hagen Chrome wrapped in Nitto 555s 235/35/19. There is about 85% tread on them and 2 of them are a little warned down on the inside because of a camber issue but there is a still alot of rubber left. The rims are in perfect condition with no scratches or curb rash. PM me or email me @ Mr_@yahoo.com if interested.

the chromes looked nice on your TL-S. However, I didn't want the extra weight and decided against the chrome, not to mention the additional cost!

I agree with TLover. I wish that iforged, HRE, or even R1 had some reasononably priced 19" s. And with my brembos up front, there isn't a large selection of aftermarket wheels that will fit my car.

not sure if I want the A-spec or wait til ROnJon has their kit out. I also really like the rear of the A-SPEC kit, and I cant really see what difference the sides make, but I am not at all convinced yet about the front part of the kit..it looks a little "added-on" IMHO. But, I may crack and do it. I am leaning now more towards the NAV to TV/DVD mod.

Those are nice but this kinda car deserves some 19s chrome with deep dish...lip big enough for you to make your hair in!! (if the offset is possible)..haha..

Definitely nice touch overall..

i respectfully disagree. I feel this car, like the A4, 3 series, TT, etc should stick with silver/polished finishes. Even the 5 series. IMHO, the bling chrome needs to be saved for cars like 745, S-Class, H2, Escalade, etc. I did not want the extra weight, cost involved, chance of flaking/peeling, and overall look of the chrome for my TL. I wasnt spending over 2500 for rims on a 35K car. I saved the 19" chrome for my 745i.

Looks good.

But, dont' those tires look kind of like the stock ones? And if so, was it worth the cost?

Did you remove the mud guards? No worries regarding chips (flyin road debris)?

Sorry for being a wet blanket.

Cool Looks fantastic

And for those who are interested in a nice, cost effective lightweight 18x7.5" +45mm wheel, I present the Konig Next. 18lbs!

Re: Tlover

Hey TLOVER,

I remember a while back you and I had the same idea about aftermarket wheels. Well I posted a thread about some 19"s that I bought last Friday 5/23. They are ProDrive GC010E 19 x 8.5 w/36 mm offset. Prodrive is a performance wheel company owned by OZ racing. Anyways I was told that they should weigh in around 19 lbs each, and they might even be a little lighter, but I'm waiting for Prodrive to email me back the specs. Just so you know, they aren't cheap by any means. But what forged wheels are? I chose a 245/35 tire to give a little extra cushion. Good luck

Chad

Nope..they look very aggressive in person, and the rims and tires now sit completely flush with the fenderwells. VERY much worth it. And hell YES i removed the mud guards, it was literally the very first thing I did the night I got home with the TL. I pulled the car in the garage, and took em off within about 10 mins LOL! now worries with chipping.

i broke it trying to get the lense off to get to the Amber LEDs inside. So I just disconnected both side marker lights as I do NOT want ANY amber on this car. I ordered another one the next day from Curry Acura and installed it within about 3 days...so it has long since been replaced.

thanks! 20% tint all around right now, but the front windows are all scratched up. I am going to install the moleskin felt, and then have them re-tinted to 15 or 10 percent.

Any updated pictures of your car yet? It must look pretty hot if you got everything on your list installed. BTW how do the Hagens fit? I think they only come in one offset right? Do they fit your car properly?

No updated pics yet, sorry. I have installed the front and rear of the A-spec kit, but still need to put the side pieces of the kit on, as well as debadge the trunk and install the lip spoiler. I still have a very minor rubbing problem when people sit in the back seat, but I am working on fixing that. I believe the offset was +45, but I had custom adapters made to bring the rims out and to clear the brembo brakes in the front. the rims/tires are completely flush with the fenderwells, looks hot!

I will post some pics as soon as I finish the car, have just been too damn busy these last couple months to finish up these mods.
