Wasn't really a fan of what you did with the rims. But I can appreciate the hard work. Roof/paint job looks awesome.

No prob al.

Dnphotography. Listen. I'm not trying to rip my friend off man. There's many of ppl who pay a body shop 150 plus just for painting their front grills. If u want a lay out of supplies it takes to get the job done right then here we go...

Base coat - $30
Reducer for base coat - $15
Clear coat - $30
catylist (hardener) for clear coat -$15
Tarp to cover his car - $10
2" tape - $9
1/2" tape - $5
Laquer thinner -$20
Mixing cup/mixing sticks/strainer -$10
Sand paper -$5
3m scuff pads -$10
Degreaser -$10
Tack cloth -$3

That's off the top of my head. Total $172 not including the labor involved. Now listen I'm including most of the supplies and I told him just pay for a few. He's not going to pay for everything.

But. The things we do for hommies right. Jus pay for paint and tape alan.

Thanx for the comments fellas

$100 for front and rear bumper is insanely cheap. Hopefully they do a good job. I don't think I would trust a place to paint my bumpers for $100 since the only places around here that would do it for that cheap are Earl Scheib or Maaco or something, even then I doubt they are that cheap.

Well there you go. u said it, hes doing a favor for your wife since u guys know eachother. thats why its so cheap. and not to mention he probably mixes his own paint, that would explain why its so much cheaper. try find out what type of paint he uses. enamel/laquer/urathane. im sure hes using the cheaper stuff. Hes doing u a favor but i don think he'll give u the best of the best paint. I use one of the best paints (PPG) and not to mention the owner of that shop probably gonna use single stage paint (base/clear mixed together) vs base coat clear coat.

but u heard anthraciteaspec, $400 to paint his roof. im basically doing alans roof for a little over a hundred. killer deal.

im sorry i was under the impression that you were doing this as a favor for him. also this shop does mainly show cars so i highly doubt hes gonna use the cheap stuff. of course i could be wrong. either way you are right alittle over a 100 bucks is a deal for the roof.

Werd, I am doing him a favor. all he has to do is pay for the paint and tape (since I dont have any) is all the prep work, giving my supplies, work area, electricity, water, and experience isnt good enough a favor?

hes not paying ME "a little over 100", hes giving the shop the money for the paint. im getting nothing in return.

200 is a damn good deal... Hell most shops in my area wont even spray a roof spoiler for that amount in my area..

DNP the price you are getting for 100 is fuckin insane.... but you can't hold others to that kind of standard.. Also if I were you I would drop off my car like now before they realize how cheap of a quote that is..

Fuck try waiting for something like 3 months when they told me only 5 weeks and on top of that they send the wrong shit, than give you no idea how long its going to take to get the right part here. So I havent driven my car in one month and am dieing to get her back together so i can drive. I also got about $700 of parts that i am no longer going to use. That makes me more sick.

its 2 different setups guys. more sporty look (not to mention he has the hottest tl color AND its a type s) and mine is more of a cleanish vipish look. and I think DNphotography is being a little biased with it being a type S.

to a guy whos all about sporty look, the KBP would look way killer.
to a guy whos all about VIP, mine would look killer then the KBP.

Its all about personal prefrence....
