Well I kinda finished my set up with the HRE 540Rs in brushed aluminum.
This is kinda somewhat teasers for you guys. Tell me what you think

Very disapointed on the front fitment. I want or I mean I will put 20mm spacers and stretch the tires more. You all know how I like poke!!!

I personally will never understand why people stretch tires and think it looks good. I'm not attacking you, just don't understand the style...

I guess its the same reason why I never understood why someone would put so many performance mods on a sedan? Its all about the look. personal prefrence and i happen to love it. I envy the 240/350z/g35 guys with their specs and fitment. maybe I should have gotten a G or something. so I can get more love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad, not a fan of the poke but the HREs are definitely looking good.

One question tho... seeing as tho you're in the 808, instead of spending money on numerous sets of rims, shouldn't you be puttin some of it down on some bags?

Im a fan of the poke and HRE's haha

To answer your question. no, not everyone has the money for bags. and honestly on bags, tires will last you like 2-3 months. another reason to spend more money. PLUS!!! I need my trunk space for a stroller and whatnot. not for me.

I mean its cool to look at, don't get me wrong....but hard work and dedication? People spending years restoring muscle cars, building engines, etc...thats hard work and dedication. Ordering a set of wheels that obviously doesn't fit your car isn't hard work...Looks cool, but it isn't hard work in the car world.

On that note, the HRE's look sick.

Measuring for clearance
Wheels specs
Rolling/flaring fenders
Measuring Tire Size
Actually mounting the tire on
Adjusting Height
Setting camber/toe

Compared to buying 19x8.5 +40 wheels with 235/35/19 and being done with it.

Plus 1, dont forget to mention body work/paint. We all have different preceptions of how we want our cars too look. I can bet if I and someone with weaker wheels were rollin thru cali or something Id get more stares. But I may be wrong heheh.

Measuring for clearance: This isn't hard
Wheels specs: Most people already know the ranges the car can fit ( I haven't seen a TL run thinner than 7.5" or wider than 10.5")
Rolling/flaring fenders: Takes a shop 20 minutes to do
Measuring Tire Size: You can choose to stretch or choose not to
Actually mounting the tire on: ? lol, this goes into most wheel/tire setups
Adjusting Height: The joy of adjustable coilovers...takes 10 minutes per corner, i doubt anyone gets their setup corner balanced.
Setting camber/toe: This is probably the only difficult part, and most people don't even bother to run a camber kit.

After watching some video's on car restoration, i can safely say none of this is hard work compared to actual work that people do to their cars. Then again, I guess there isn't really any other area we can focus on with almost no aftermarket support.

I can honestly say it was hard work for my to get these to fit correctly and its still not perfect. But of course if u got all the cash then its not so hard. Of course its not hard to send it to the shop and have someone else do the work. sure it didnt take years but it took me a little while

I have multi pieced iForged Daytonas (some say HRE knock offs? hehe) ... I'm getting bored with the Anthracite face. So what's involved in actually refinishing these myself? How long did it take? Brushed Aluminum looks great! I know it takes a bit of elbow grease but what's involved in the process? Should I just Pm you? hahaha
