This is how we roll....

So, last week, two buddies and I decided to wash our cars. Well, We did the two STi's (Limited and WRB), then my TL. As I was finishing up my TL, a few more friends showed up....OK, washed their cars as well, a 2G TL and a 99 Prelude. Well, even more showed up, including one guys brother with the GTO, and another STi owner....

After finishing the GTO, we decided to call it quits and go out to dinner.

Then, last weekend we were all out for a nice drive and decided to stop at one guy's golf club to hit some balls on the driving range at 1AM, and while they did that, I took all their keys and decided now would be as good a time as any to take some pictures. Some of the same guys, some of the others.

The one car missing that I really wanted to shoot was another friends CSL55 AMG Wow is that car ever fast. I do have a few pics of it though somehwere.....

Anyways, enough talk, onto the pics.....

The wash day....

And the 1AM photoshoot at the golf course....

The guy who drives the FX35 also has an SL500......

Hope you enjoyed the pics. Any questions on the cars, let me know. I've driven all of them!

Nice pics!

I have a question: You said you took their keys right? So, does that mean you did all of that parking and arranging by yourself? If so...damn!

Yes Sir!

I'm a freak when it comes to stuff like that. Photoshoots are all in the set-up. I did have one guy help me with two of the cars though....he's not a golfer either!

Nice!

Driving ranges are like the perfect spot for photoshoots, but I'd never thought of that before. Thanks for the idea, and great looking cars there.

I'm a little partial to the TL, though.

Camera is a Canon Digital Rebel XT. Photoshop is just resize and some level adjustment in the night shots to clean them up a bit.

Thanks guys!!

The BMW is a 535I 5-speed (very rare) with M5 suspension, body moldings, and a custom front air dam with functional brake ducts and custom speedline wheels a la Ferrari F-40. It was previously owned by a current BMW Driving School Instructor who purchased a euro-spec 95 M5 to replace it. My buddy got a screamin deal on the car and the pictures dont do it justice for how clean it really is.

its like when a little kid asks to be in a picture with a famous movie star... that star hardly cares about the kid, but is there so the kid looks cool and feels good...

trust me, i have people trying to take pictures with me all the time - they want to be able to tell their friends they had the opportunity to meet me... just gotta go with the flow.

lol

The FX can hold it's own pretty well though. You'd be surprised at how that thing can move!

Nope, they are the ASA ST4's, similar to the TSW's though, almost identical in fact.

It's all in the exposure and aperture settings. A dark dark place can look very well lit with the right settings!

That is an awesome pic! The lighting and clarity is excellent! That background sky is what helps make this shot.

Thanks!!

That is one of my favorites as well.

JJ, I cant tell you how hard it was to get everyone together. The sad part is that's only about half of the group. Still missing a fully built camaro, completely custom F150 lightning bagged on 22's, the CLS55 AMG, and a handful of other cars. All in all we have a group of about 25-30 cars that are not complete pile's or ricer boy civics and tiburons....haha....

The STI isn't that hard of a car to wash.
It's just a pain in the ass when I have to get between those spokes of the BBS rims.

I tend to like to keep my STI spoiler nice and shiny all around. Cleaning those spots under the wing.

This is my other car

Hahaha, cleaning the wheels is the only reason why I powercoated mine.
Now I can save time cleaning them! Cuz you can't even see the break dusts.

Thanks JD.

Now they are going bye-bye asap since I bent two of them. They still hold air and balance out fine, but I just want something different. Selling the wheels without tires.
