Use a sledgehammer to break apart the ice, just not on the body as it can damage the paint, just the windows.

My van was like that. I had to break the ice off it only it's a full sized Ford E150 with Ladder rack and 28" extension and 6 foot step ladder on top. I had to break out my 4 foot ladder, climb up and break the ice with my hammer on the roof. It was a good 1/2 inch thick in most spots, a little thicker is in some spots too. SUCKS!!!

the nice thing about the ice was i didnt have to clean any off besides the windows because it got so warm out it all melted alone so i prolly wouldnt have had to clean any of it off if i didnt have to move it so my apt complex could clear the ice

you guys are lucky in other parts in the U.S. That day the OP had all that ice. We had a crazy amount of ice in NYC. NYC is about 2hours from PA.

I was a *** head and accidently hit my wipers. Wiper arm broke

yea i hit my wiper blades to not too hard but luckily mine didnt break
