Hoen Xenonmatch fog light bulbs - H8

I picked these up with the future plan to go with HiD fogs...these are advertised as a 'match' to HID headlights but really, they don't look much better than a cheap set of 5800k GP Thunders.

Driver side is hoen, passenger side is stock.

Hoen

Those seem pretty yellow. Why not just get HID fogs from the start....they're so cheap.

Much better than stock but not comparable to HID fogs. 5k would match you stock headlights perfectly.

I had this on my car up until about a week ago. While not a perfect match, they were definitely closer than the stock bulbs, and you can't beat plug n play for ease of installation (not that the HID kit is hard).

Once I installed switchbacks though, the difference from switchback to lowbeam to fog seemed exaggerated, and I finally upgraded to 6K headlights and foglights to match.

yah..overall they are not bad.. not sure if they are worth the 'premium' price they charge over a pair of ebay 'GP Thunders'. The plug n play aspect is what i wanted.. as I will probably switch them out to my nokya 2500k yellows during the winter/rainy season up here in Vancouver BC.

HID Fogs is my spring 2013 project.

Looks great!

I had bulbs like this before in my fogs and matched the headlights perfectly. Had the blue tint on the bulb just like yours. However it didnt last long and blew out within a few months. Probably lasted one season, been running 35w HID's and have been running strong for over a year

I don't know how to feel about DDMTuning anymore... Not too long ago they were based here in the US, but now everything is done in China. Shipping takes awhile and I hear customer service went down the drain. Price is good, and quality from what I remember from a few years ago was also good, but not sure if it remains the same now..

ddm is not as good as they used to be. my friend got a set for his type s fogs and so far he has had to pay shipping twice for them to send him broken parts again. first it was a bulb, then it was a ballast. this was two months ago and he still hasnt got working hid fogs
