Cool HOCKEYMAN23's picture thread...AM FTW! Updated 2/22/15

Hey fellow Aziners,

It's taken me a really long time to organize a pic thread, but I figured I really had nothing to add with a stock ride. (bought the car in Nov 2008, bone stock) I just got my TEIN h techs & ingalls kit on a week ago, and thought that this would be a good time to share. AM = WIN!

Brief rundown of mods (so far):

Exterior

Base Aspec kit
Type-S tail lights
35% tint all around
Decklid spoiler
RonJon Raven Black Machined Legends 18x8 +32
Bridgestone Potenza RE960 A/S 235/40/18

Dropped on

TEIN H tech
Ingalls rear camber kit
Accord V6 6spd rear struts

Interior

CarID carbon fiber dash kit (not bad for $70 )
Black TL carpet mats on parchment beige interior

Under Hood

AEM V2 CAI
P2R intake manifold spacer

Future plans

Jpipe (probably ATLP)
Exhaust (probably ATLP also, those tips are SICK!)
CF engine cover to extend the theme from the interior (DIY)
Painted grille...?
S/C...

Enjoy the pics...I'll probably add more later.

All comments welcome! Probably more pics to come when I have more time. Thanks for viewing!

Looks nice man...but the CF around the shifter isn't working for me, you can see the woodgrain around the sides

^^ yeah, regarding the wood showing around the edges of the CF...i've been using NBP paint to touch it up & hide it. Some of it I won't be able to get to, but the shifter you can only see from a certain angle. I'll keep working on that once the weather is warmer.

those ronjons are sexy wheels, but like someone else said...the woodgrain peakin through the cf trim is an eyesore to say the least. you probably would have been better off using dinoc for that. but whatever, car looks great tho!

Looking good man! I love AM.

My only gripe is that I would want it to sit a little lower. BUT being in Colorado, I'm sure you didn't want to be a snowplow.

Looks very clean. Have you coinsidered type s sidemarkers? I think those would go well with the tails. And as your thread title says, AM FTW!

The car looks amazing. I'm planning on doing a drop as well, and I already have the Type-S tails too

What year are the accord struts from? Do you know if the fronts are also interchangeable?

Edit: oh and you should probably get some wheel locks!

Its from an 06 V6 6-speed. Fronts are interchangable. The top hats are the main difference between the front struts. Rear struts have the same top hats.

Oh damn. I have a set of brand new take offs (25 miles on them), front and rear, from an 08 V6 coupe. I was hoping I got lucky!

Anywho, didn't mean to threadjack haha.

Love the drop though. I'm in the market for some Tein springs as well

Nice vid Kev! Thanks bro. I'm about 2 seconds away from ordering the ATLP base exhaust & jpipe combo, so I'll have more modified goodness on the ride in the near future. Spring/summer meets & photoshoots FTW!

^^ had the dealer put the kit on for me (first & last install they did)...i think it may be a semi-bad camera angle. Can't really tell any difference when you're looking right at it. Might re-tape it sometime down the road, I dunno...

Update coming soon...ATLP base resonated exhaust & v2 jpipe ordered. Will post pics of install & finished product. Can't wait!

Also touching up some of those woodgrain areas with NBP paint...I can hide most of it luckily. Looks much better with the black outline around the CF.

Zach, I got a WHOLE bunch of glossy 3m carbon fiber di-noc sitting in my closet right now and will have some extra after I am done with the project I am working on

I highly recommend, as a friend in the Mile High Region, you utilizie my leftover product and recover those areas with what I've got. I love the CF kit you bought but it is driving me crazy to see your exisiting woodgrain show through. You have such an amazing car and that mod looks so-so since you can see the existing woodgrain.

^^ well said sir. I've been trying to tell myself that this car ID kit looks good, but it just doesn't fit flush enough. Time to remove it and go back to woodgrain while I plan my next move.

You all had good points about that, no matter how hard I tried to cover the remaining woodgrain with NBP paint, it just wasn't enough. Win some lose some in the mod game I guess...

Removed the CF overlay kit this past weekend...major pain in the arse! Back to woodgrain...

Got the ATLP v2 jpipe a couple days ago...exhaust should be in soon hopefully. Couple pics up later or tomorrow.
