the oil cap is DC SPORT billet steel oil cap, its lighter than oem plastic oil cap. I bought it when AEM sell them and discontinue the production.

Nice job on the paint!

Well I am going to give some constructive criticism.

The good: The red matches the red around the 3.5 VTEC almost perfectly. Your idea has potential.

The bad: I agree with jjasha the paint has a lot of orange peel to it. Should be redone with a smoother finish. Maybe some wetsanding/clear coating can take care of that. The oil cap, while very nice, looks pink compared to the red of the engine cover.

My suggestion: Polish the oil cap, refinish the paint and it will be perfect. Just my

Now i know everyone is sayin the oil cap looks "pink"...but does it look that bad...just like these lug nuts

I dont think any other colour would have looked better...unless it was polished of course!

I am definately NOT hating on the oil cap. I think the oil cap in itself looks great, especially when his engine cover was black. However next to a deep red, it does not look good. The lugs look great on that car because they are next to white. Again just my opinion.

Looks good but, definitely get to work on some wet sanding though to smooth that out.

the oil cap when i bought it said red though, it has been powder coated maybe it looks pink because of the heat? I should have keep black part surround of the oil cap black.

So, are you saying you don't have clear on it already? Cause you shouldn't need to repaint it if it's already cleared.
