100 dollars for a pair of tips is actually a pretty good deal, depending on the quality.

There are a lot of shit SS tips out there.

Is there anyone who can confirm the fitment of these tips on the a-spec bumper? I know the width is 1/10th of an inch more, but I want to be sure I wouldn't have any issues before I bought them.

hey GVTL, can you post pictures from the side?

anyways my tips from afterthoughtsauto came in yesterday, didnt get the chance to get them welded yet but i did take some pictures.

heres the first set of pictures where the inside tip is flush with the exhaust shroud. it does not touch at all, but i think the outside tip is sticking out too far for my taste. besides, i have the aspec kit so i could move it back farther.

this is how i would run mine. sits about an 3/4 inch further back. would not work for non aspec guys unless they remove the exhaust shroud IMO. the 5th picture shows it touching. i measured it and its the same dimension as the one on ebay.

Thanks for the pictures, but I want to ask you a question. You said that the outer tip sticks outward more. Correct? Is there anyway, it can be pushed back? Thanks.

from the design of the tips, it could probably get cut and welded back about an inch max. im going to ask the muffler guy tomorrow and see if he can do it

Yeah it can be cut and welded. I would have probably charged 20-30 to cut it though

How much you got your tips for? Do you have any pic of it welded on your car?

Absolutely. There is more than enough room to accommodate these tips with that bumper.

If those are the same tips he must have the whole assembly turned to the side a bit because they don't stick out like that at all. He posted this picture on the first page.

I had my tips facing a little inward to the car, so that they followed the line of the bumper.

Looks great! Could you possibly post a picture from under the car of the welding seams so I can easily show the exhaust shop?

No sir, just cut the stock tip off and replaced it with this one. It was all right out of the box, so no modification needed. I just had them angle it slightly outward so it matched the bumper a little more

After getting these tips do you think they are the same as the ones the OP has? I was looking over your pics and for some reason the OP's seem to have a slightly different tip shape and look shinier but could be just the pics.

It does seem that his tips are further apart, but the difference, if any, would be very minute. I'm very happy with the set I got. Didn't run in to any problems and fits perfectly. They were actually dirty in the pics. Just need to run water on it and wipe it with a rag

Both sets look great. Definitely better than stock when rolling with the A-spec rear.

The A spec has no rear exhaust, it is so sunken you can even see it.

I have mine installed with Magnaflow mufflers (p/n: 11365) I have A-spec bumper on mine. How does people manage to get their tips so flushed in?

I would definitely change the angle on those tips man. they look too low and doesn't flow with the lines of the aspec bumper.

Its is just a matter of holding it in the position you like them and then having them tach weld it in place. Once your happy with it, they'll complete the weld all around.

it took me 3-4 times of adjusting before i was happy with how it looked.

The guy at the shop tried many angles, but somehow they couldn't make the thing flush in. I think its because of the maganaflow mufflers they installed. Can you please take some pics of your from different angles?
