That turned out nice. I did something similar on my '06, only in black instead of GM. Good job.

looks added on. dont fake the funk, no brembo, no acura logo. if you wanted the calipers to say acura, you should have bought a 6MT.

Looks great!

It looks like the driver side decal isn't on right, though lol

yah..the driver side decal is on fine.. just the way the photo was taken. i'll keep it as is..see how it holds up. definitely cool to have the A-specs spin away with the large gaps between spokes, the 'acura' is really visible.

If he had put a brembo decal on sure, that logic works, because it's a lie. But he didn't, he put an acura logo on his acura (honda) part, which is true.

I'd say it looks off though. There just isn't enough space to make it look right. But the GM was a good choice and it looks like you did a good job. Congrats.

Bullcrap. He didn't put "Brembo" stickers (or fake covers for that matter) on them. He put an "Acura" logo on an "Acura".

And what was his reasoning for doing this? Because the better brakes available for his car have ACURA written on them. If the brembos didnt say ACURA do you think he would have done this little project? Thats the point I'm trying to make.

If stock big brakes had BREMBO written on them and he put BREMBO on these then yea he'd be a poser bitch. But he put "ACURA" on his ACURA car, so what. Not like he's fooling anyone with those small calipers

He doesn't have to make a point for why he did what he did. Your point, however, still doesn't add up. All your point seems to be is to rag on someone in that very same persons thread.

And I'd say he did it for bling. Anyone who looks close enough to see the Acura letters is going to know they aren't brembos. He was just trying to dress it up a bit. And kudos to him for putting forth the effort.

effort shmeffort. It doesnt look OEM so it looks cheesy. he asked for an opinion and i gave him mine, backed up my reasoning and you guys say I'm 'ragging' on him. Take it how you want it, it looks like crap.

One does not "back up" their reasoning with faulty premises. That's a recipe for failure. You're 14 posts into your tenure here; learn the culture a bit before you start flailing about with your attitude.

Wow that looks unbelievably tacky. Why would you want to attract more attention to 1-piston unattractive brake calipers? Why don't you paint them red while you're at it? There's nothing wrong with putting an Acura decal on stock brakes, but whether they look good is a different story.

As they all say: "If you like it, that's all that matters!"

Painting them grey doesn't "attract more attention"; leaving them the cheap looking silver with an open wheels design does.

Now, if you want to talk about tacky, should we talk about neon-colored wheels?

thanks for all the feedback/opinions fellas... exactly what i wanted to read. i painted the calipers recently and figured why not give this 'decal' mod a try.. in any case, i'll leave it on and see if it grows on me or annoys me... not that hard to remove it.... but the gunmetal paint with its 'gloss' looks great.

The gray is nice; I love the gray, but placing an acura decal on the caliper attracts more attention. Why would you want to? It's not a big brake kit with a stylish caliper.

The orange wheels were loud and outrageous, I agree, but they were made by Volk Racing, right out the factory. I didn't buy a set of $3K wheels to paint them orange. None of their wheels are tacky. Tacky on my car? Some say yes, some say no. I can live with that.
You calling my wheel theme tacky is simply your opinion, lol; the OP was asking for ours.

Right, that's all well and good. And when I saw your wheels first on your car guess what I didn't do - act like an ass. Expressing an opinion doesn't require it.

Gunmetal looks great with the wide-open space of the wheels man.

People can say what they want about the ACURA emblem. ......I think it dresses it up a little and draws your attention to the wheel, not necessarily to the fact it's a 1 piston caliper.

wow this turned into a bunch of butthurt peoples comments. i think it looks ok, but kind of out of place. on the one pic it looked like the logo was bent or folded thats my only complaint. and you can clearly distinguish that your car does not have brembos either way, the brembo caliper is much longer than yours. i mean if it were my car, i wouldnt have done it but to each his own (plus i have a 6mt with brembos) :p

woah very mixed reactions. I dont care if people think they look like fake brembos, I like it. no different than putting type S wheels on a non- type S TL... actually, much better than that. dont let the haters get to ya. it looks good!
