Thanks dude!

I think this is some sort of OCD, but ever since my front LEDs have been turned on for around 12 hours, would it be dim?

Did you notice yours were dimmer when you left them on for "longer"?

I keep bouncing between these two pics:

Mine still look the same

Keep in mind that the rear LEDs are closer to the rear seat, therefore the light bounces off of them. That may make the back half of the car look more lit. Plus they are mounted horizontally ( -- ) while I believe you mounted the front ones vertically.

You're right.

I still find my fronts dimmer than they were before somehow lol
Maybe I'll live with it.
Not like it's as dim as my old VLEDs.

The earlier one that I bought last week were bright, but they were kinda blue lol

I needed to match the fronts so I bought these and these are white, and as a bonus, brighter.

I don't know if this has been done, but I just put my old (well, 1 week used old), the bluish white ones (they are NO WAY BLUE), into the door lights.

BRIGHT as hell.
Lights up my whole garage.

Will post pics.

That being said, I just realized that all the bulbs in my car are LED boards now. No more VLEDs.

Last February I bought these from VLEDS:
2 pairs of 5 LED chip style for doors and rear dome (Both replaced with 12 LED board)
1 pair of 6 LED flank bulb for front dome (replaced with 15 LED board)
1 pair of 6 LED angled flank for license plate (replaced with Cold Cathode)

There is no better bargain as far as output per dollar than the cheap ebay LED boards, IMO. Even if they burn out after a few years, I'd go that route all over again.

Ebay LEDs FTW!
I'm so happy with them.
I'm gonna keep this setup!

The VLED bulbs I bought were like $10 a pair.
The LED boards were an average of $14 a pair.

LED board is expensive but you get way more output, as you said!

Okay, so here are pictures of my door LEDs.

Where it had to be mounted initially due to long wiring.

It looked dumb, and not in the middle.

Anyone with eBay LED boards knows that they come with an adaptor so you can use T10 or festoon, etc.
The adaptor takes up so much space, making it difficult to hide the wires when mounted, too.

So I took my wire cutters and cut the adaptor out, and a good chunk of extra wiring too.
Then I soldered the wires together.

Plugged it back in, then mounted the LEDs right onto the T10 connector using 3M double sided foam tape.

Right in the middle...

Just the door light... (I set the dome lights to off)

Here's a better edit I just did:

Do you guys like it more than V1?

I boosted the colour of the lights, and I made it so you can make out my rims so my car's not floating lol

I should make another photoshop tutorial site (I owned one a couple years ago), then photoshop tutorial sites just took a dump and people stopped creating tutorials.
Funny, I guess I'm a natural teacher LOL
I teach photoshop (people have praised for my detailed tutorials), I make TL DIYs, and I teach guitar and snowboarding haha

This is V3.
Added in the window trim, which was pretty hard to get right lol
Looked so funny without the window trim and made my TL look like 1 big window lol

Thanks Steven!

Tommorow I think I'm gonna crack down the windows for the first time.
I took so much time a couple days ago taking off all the door panels and wiping the inner window channel/guide.

I'll be recording it on video just in case my tint gets scratched (yes, I'm worried).

It's been over 3 weeks since I've gotten my tint done and still havn't opened the windows lol

I was bored and took a few minutes to throw my old VLED 5 LED chip into the vanity mirror light (to replace the incandescant light).

Now my interior all LED lol (except for buttons on the dash etc).

I don't even use those vanity mirrors but I just have leftover LEDs hanging around so why not lol

Ordering shock sensors and will have a DIY!

I don't know if I still want to install shock sensors now...

If I knew the wiring really well I might buy it, but now, I'm buying one thing:

ISIM71 iSimple kit
Comes with a harness for Acura/Honda and another harness for Toyota/Lexus lol

Best part: It's $30 local for the kit!!!

I don't know if he ships to the states (only stated he will ship in Cnada via Canada Post), but he has 50 kits (somehow) and sells for $28.00 for a limited time.

Who needs one?

LOL I'll still probably buy the shock sensor.
I'll probably only buy one instead of two just to try out.

I couldn't believe the price of the ISIM71 at 30 dollars lol

iPod/audio integration for 30 dollars is a steal!

I can't believe I was gonna buy one for like 90 or 100 bucks lol
