Sup guys, I just got my car tinted today, 50% all around, with 3M Color Stable Ceramic tint. I was going to go with 35%, but the guy told me it would not be legal, since the window is already tinted a little, adding 50% tint would make the car look like it has 37% and the legal limit in MA is 35% all around.

In case anyone in the Boston Area was wondering, I got the job done at Tint King, Inc in Billerica, MA. Ask for Brian.

That 50% looks dark. I'm torn between whether to go with 50 or 35. Still trying to figure what would look better on an ABP.

Ive got ABP/camel go with 35%, 50% is way too light on ABP

The darker the better IMO, I hate all these MA laws, the car looks nice, do you have mole skin?

Looks like 35% too me, but I am sure the shade has something to do with that.

yeah, the guy said 50% on the TL makes it around 35-37%. I think it looks perfect. I personally didn't want any darker.

would one of those laws be: "you must be 16.5 to have a liscense"?

50 is way too light on any color imo.
If ur gonna tint, 35 is the highest i would go

For the 3M colorstable from Tint King, its 300... If you want the regular metailic tint, its 200

Looks great! Nice job on the quarters, also. Are you sure that's 50%? Looks more like 35%, IMO. I wasn't aware that 3M made a ceramic film. From what I read and understood, CS is a dyed film with color stability to prevent fading. Info can be found here. Just curious.

Yeah, that tint looks a little dark to be 50%. I have 35% and it doesn't look that dark.

yeah the pics make it look darker, but its really 50% film, and since our windows come tinted...its actually 35%. I'm enjoying my tint. Havent rolled down the windows yet. I'll wait till tomorrow=)

It won't hurt, but if you don't you'll see those withe parts around the rim. Especially by the third brake light. Just run your finger along the rim of the back window and you'll be fine.

It's illegal in MA to tint the front winshield. It has just the sides and the rear.
