well my cars paid off and im going to be keeping it for a very long time (at least 15+ years). i think that 20% 3M was way too dark on the TL thats why i went with the 35's. it looks really nice but not completely blacked out.

I took a long trip to GA last weekend and for the trip there the sun was constantly beating down on my side. On the trip home the sun was constantly on her side. It was totally tolerable though. We both commented on how much of a difference there was in heat rejection and how much more glare reduction and privacy there was. Didn't even have to use the visors.
You won't regret it. Unless you go too dark and you can't backup on a rainy night or you get pulled over by a cop. Just keep it lighter.

Have you CLAY BAR'd it lately? If not, do it. You will see a huge difference!!
Do the ZAINO detail process..........I did it to my 350Z & BMW 325i (when I had them) & they both turned out lookin' like SHOW CARS.
My 08 TL Type S is going to get this soon........just need the time!!!

Navigation? did you get metalized tint or carbon based. any effects noticed on nav reception
moleskin in stall? TL is said to scratch the tint unless moleskin is installed. i'm paranoid about having a tint shop take my doors apart.

yes you will need the moleskin installed. it will scratch your tints. if you go to a tint shop that knows what they are doing, the most they will do is pop off the top of your door panel. taking off the whole door is not required.

Looks good. Just got my NBP done with 35% as well. Best all around benefit, imo, on a black car especially. I think the darker stuff looks better on white and silver for the sheer contrast, plus cops don't bother me at 35%. Let them break the balls of the guys with 5 and 20!
