Getting Fixed Up Night Halo's

Guys, This is the best I could do with a 10mp camera. It still really does no justice for these

They look too big and "thick" (no homo), but it could just be the camera.

Why two threads?

Yep, these are the Orion V2's.

They seem to be really bright. I wonder if the output can be adjusted?

yep, they are. and no they can't be dimmed. i have a set sitting on the shelf. tested them out and they match my 6000k hid's pretty well. these will be part of my headlight upgrade.

these will not be used as my daytime runners, 07TLFIXITUP, did you kill you DRL's? by that i mean disable them?

Looks real clean and changes the front look of the car, but I really really dislike the thickness and full circle effect, I think they should have a gap either on the top or the bottom.

Figure this...

Switchbacks - $45
Halo's - $180
ZKW-R's & 85122+'s - $!50
Fee for the lights - $200
Shipping - $50

Oh yeah and if you want to include the paint work - $150

Basically $750....
damn...

+2. I was looking to upgrade but the thickness is what I have against it. I like the fact the CCFLs are very thin and understated and just bright enough. But on the new rings the color is nice and I bet it is more durable and safer.

There is no doubt that rings look better in person than any picture.

They make your car look like an eBay ad. BMW angel eye effect for 3x the price. Your car is not an 03+ BMW, be proud of it the way it is.

So I guess the new Land Rovers and the up-level Chevy Camaros are BMW imitations as well?
They also come with halos from the factory. Only difference is they are LED rings and not halogens like BMW uses.

It's a neat mod and the highest form of flattery for BMW without robbing them of their orginality.

What is imitation is those vehicles that have the nasty blue headlights imitating the real HID's. It's terrible because they just cast an extremely bright blue light across the road in multiple directions and blind oncoming traffic. I even see minivans and some older cars that have the lines in their headlights rocking this look.

Incorrect. A resistor on the main lead will provide reduced output; a pulse wave modulator will allow you to brighten/dim the V2's akin to an incandescent.

There is absolutely no output value at all in regards to visabillity with these LED's... Maybe if it were pitch ass black, and maybe if the moon was out you could get away with it. As far as pimping around town with just the led's at night, a police officer wouldnt know the difference bc these are bright as a mf... JnC said there was MUCH labor involved with these. I'm pretty sure his cost to install these went up after he did mine lol. He's busy though. get on his list and be ready when he contacts you..
