my friend has 5% all around and 35% on the front and has been driving around for 3 years and he hasnt been pulled over at all. cops down here dont care much for tint unless ur on the country side of alabama. but other than that, as long as ur not doin anything stupid or wrong then they really wont care.

Looks Good...

you guys know that if you get in an accident.... your insurance company WILL NOT pay for your damages or any other party involved because of the tinted windshield... Hope you have money in the bank... that's the first thing an insurance adjust. looks for to NOT pay a dime... Economy is bad so even the insurance companies are trying to save money...

it is illegal, but all of my friends in our group have their front windshield tinted and none of them have been pulled over. in bama, if ur on like the country side ur guranteed to get a ticket if caught, but other than that, cops dont care.

Had 35% on for 3 years in my old car. It's nice on sunny days. No sunglasses necessary. Also, it was just tough to see with tint and 20% sunglasses during the day anyways.

I removed it a few years later. Driving at night in the rain really sucked big time. I used to drive over a mountain pass in rain and snow and it was impossible to see the faded lane markings. I would just follow the path of the taillights in front of me.

Hindsight, I would not tint my windshield again. Plus, I would be defeating the purpose of the ZKW/85122 projector combo.

And do you have any idea how hard it is to get one of those unless you know somebody?? You almost need a medical condition...

Different State different rules. Some states are more leaniant than others on that. Actually a optometrist could loose his license along with get cited for numerous fines if the state finds him guilty of using malpractice when issuing those to patients. Alot of states these days do not even recongize those prescriptions anymore, it's alot harder than you or most people think for a police dept. to sign off on that and have a proper sticker displayed on your vehicle stating you can have darker than legal tint on the side windows let alone on your windshield.

I know plenty of neighboring police depts by me that don't care if you have a doctors note from one they will still cite you for having that tint. Depending on your county, state, etc. Some places like here you have to register your vehicle with the State Troopers Office and have them actually sign off on you having your illegal tint and they place a sticker on your vehicle acknowledging what you have.

^ All I know is, here in LA, you show them the note when they pull you over, and they let you go. It's happened to me about 5 times.

I must say that is pretty nice of the LAPD to be so leaniant about that. I would say you are quite lucky dude lol. Here I have seen my buddies cite people all day long for tint. Alot of counties, states, jursidictions are trying hard to start to enforce illegal tint alot more. Alot of deaths resulted from a bi-stander having dark tint and having a police officer come up to the window and get shot.

Yeah that's true, and I've been told about the shooting thing by a bunch of cops that have pulled me over and by my sro.

That's why whenever it's dark and I get pulled over.....all windows down.....all lights on....keys on dash....hands on wheel...etc.

Automatically the cop acts nicer when he's more at ease, you know?

I had 5% on the sides and rear with 35% on the windshield and it looked awesome. You definately have to get use to it though. But then I went back and got 20% on my windshield instead of the 35%. It was a big difference obviously. However, I still wanted darker so I ended up with double 5% on the sides and rear with 20% on the windshield. I couldnt see anything at night on the sides or rear. But the front is nice when you have hid's. I did get pulled over a few days after I got the second layer of 5% put on though and that ticket costed me $100.75. I traded my accord in a month ago, and got a g35 coupe. I got the sides and rear done 5% and 52% on the windshield a couple days after buying the car. But yesterday I got pulled over by a city cop. I was going 60 in a 55 on the interstate in the slow lane, and he pulls up next to me, then gets behind me and turns his lights on. He walks up and says that he pulled me over because of illegal window tint. Long story short, he wrote me a ticket and it is going to cost me $100.75. The thing is I know my windows are illegal but he did not measure the % with anything. He just verbally said they were illegal. But anyway I think Im going to go to court over this one and see what happens, even though I know they are illegal. Just wanted to put in my story.

The windshield tint looks nice but be careful about cops though. Good luck.

I have been wanting to tint my front windshield for a long time i just never came across some one to support my idea because theres a lot of haters in the TSX forms and i was a little rude to some of them.

But any ways what would you recommend for my TSX i have a 20% all they around and lightest is 50% for the front windshield i can go from with the same tint i have already.

I want to do a 35% on my front windshield. I have 20% all the way around. Do have any problems driving at night or raining hardcore or anything of that nature.

I just want to get some ones opinion about this

Mines 20% all the way around with 35% on the windsheild....make sure to remember that interior color has a affect on how dark it looks... like my interior is black so it makes mine look darker

You have an inspection sticker for your windshield being tinted or just the windows.
