Front Bumper Curb Rash. FML!
Front Bumper Curb Rash. FML!
Okay, so I was making a U turn in my neighborhood, and ended up running into a curb scraping my front bumper a good amount. What makes me mad is... I kind of knew I wasn't going to make it, but I went for it anyway.
What's the best way to fix this? Can a dealer or an autobody place touch this up without a full bumper repaint? How much would it cost? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks,
Ray

Mine looks the same though I've got it further towards the middle on the bottom parts (didn't make a steep driveway like I thought I would have lol). I can't quite tell from the pic but it looks pretty deep, if that's the primer. My other half says that doesn't look deep and you might be able to buff that out with an aggressive compound along with other products.
When you run your fingernail through it...does it catch? If so, you'll need a re-paint

There is a group buy currently going for the whole kit now but I think you can get the front for $265 shipped.

like everyone said get the a-spec lip. before you install it. remove the fog/grill housing lightly sand any scuff marks smooth with some high grit sandpaper. then spray it with a can of flat black krylon fusion. the curb-rash will just be a bad memory.
then you'll want the a-spec sides and rear.....just dont go off any curbs or back into any poles and you'll be fine.

To me it would look funny but I don't think that you would notice the difference to much. It would be better to get the whole kit but if you can only afford the front... get the front.
Ouch, sorry to hear.
You learned about the Acura TL's turning radius the hard way =(
I can pull U-turns like nothing in my minivan but for my TL I mostly have to do 3 point; it sucks.
