First road trip in the TL

Well i needed to take a long drive somewhere and ended up in Tennessee haha.

I used to take road trips all the time, with just a paper map and a desire to drive. These portable GPS's and in dash GPS's are game changing, makes traveling and finding locations inside towns a breeeeze.

Pre trip, tried out the blue painters tape made popular on here haha. I did get alot of weird looks, but not having any bugs or new rock chips made it worth it.

I was in lowes parking lot applying some more tape for the trip home and was approached by 2 older fellas in a Tennessee orange cooter truck lol..They said "You painting your car?" haha man i love the south..accents and friendly attitudes.

Took a bracketed shot to try this HDR processing, first attempt. Fun program to mess with

Double tree

Pit stop?!

Mileage report.

What part of TN, it looks like somewhere in East TN, Smoky Mtns?. I take a trip to TN about once a month to see the fam., but I only have to drive 3 hrs from GA...Michigan is way too far for me. That blue tape is hilarious, but it does serve a useful purpose.

Nice, Man when I was in college (only like a year or two ago) my friends and I would just throw some clothes in a bag and hit the road all over CO and WY. I miss that... screw all this responceabilty! The tape made me laugh a bit, to bad they didnt have a black painters tape!

+1...I'd like mine to sit like this!

Please don't say coilover, please don't say coilovers

Also, what about trying to de-badge the rear? I think it looks much cleaner

I did about 9 over on all highways and interstates. I think a big leg of the trip was 70MPH so i would usually go 75-79 mph the whole time.

Yeah Gatlinburg right on the smokies. Yeah i used to drive from Washington State to Michigan twice a year going home in the summer, so a 9 hour drive isn't bad for me.

The tape held on really well, the bugs really weren't that bad..i imagine because its getting cold out.
