2 XSi? Nice. I was planning to get one in the near-future...
Sweet pics though... I even see the dirt-specs on some of the quarter panels and on the muffler =p
What did you use before the XSi? Would you say it's worth getting as an upgrade from the XT --- on a student budget? Also wondering, does the XSi allow you to be able to take one photo with 3 different exposure settings like -2, 0, +2 all in one shot?

to answer your question about the camera,i dont know much about dslrs yet.
the rebel is awesome, the muffler tips have sand blast from the sandstorms up at my parents house. im comming from some cheap nikon coolpix point and shoot.
the megans are the same height as always, but i never had any good pics of my car at all angles.

when taking a picute with a DSLR, use a tripod, it will help out alot, but none-theless, your pictures look really good mane
and also, when taking pictures close up like you did on several of those, try and make it so you can not see yourself in the reflection. just a tip i learned haha

He took these shots in bright daylight. Don't think not having a tripod was a factor. Tripod only really comes into play if he's using a longer telephoto and/or in lowlight situations where his lenses don't have IS.

i was using a tripod in the low pics, the others were standing.
this shoot was my first ever with a DSLR. and the first time i ever used mine,so i still have to learn the diff settings. the lens that came with my XSi isnt very good about blurryness,i actually have to always go back with a sharpness tool to make it about 500% more sharp.
then again it could be my settings.
also i wasnt close up,i was about 10-15 feet away from my car and zoomed in.

Yeah, XSi is a very capable camera. Good to start. Once you get waist deep into photography, then you can look at upgrading bodies.
Just do some research on what lenses you'd want to slowly add to your collection. This hobby gets expensive, fast. I'm new to dSLRs myself. I just coughed up some more blood money for the 580ex/ii. Hopefully I can use it to slave my 420ex for some off camera strobe shots.
