Exclamation Finally : Silver Omen Progress Thread

Hey guys I have finally gotten around to creating a progress thread for the Type S. I will go ahead and warn you, this will have a TON of pictures because I have done a lot since I joined this forum in January.

Well I bought the car in March of 2009. It is an '07 Acura TL Type S ASM, bone stock.

It has been my DD for the past 4 years until now, I have the mod bug again. I just gave my modded, '02 Mustang, to my little brother for graduation, so I need another project. (Insert Acura)

First thing I did was add a sub woofer and change out the door speakers to Kicker comps. I had not added anything else until just recently (thanks to you guys lol)

Well enjoy the pictures! Let me know what you think!

Well I started a new job as a bank president in Memphis, and not in the best area, so I decided Window Tint was a must. Name: F204CB65-6D5A-4C26-9B5D-9D463033C56C.jpg

This is absolutely, one of the best mods I have ever done. Especially the windshield. And before anyone has anything to say, Yes I have the tint excuse and it is not illegal, and no it is not dangerous, I see FINE at night.

Then I had a HID go out, so I went ahead and changed them all and added switchbacks.

I went ahead and changed all the dome lights in the car and trunk to Red LEDs. I absolutely love them!

Well now it was time for some exterior mods. I was very tired of the stock waffles. Well I went ahead and bought the XXR 530's

XXR 530's 18x8.75 (Front) and 18x9.75 (Rear)
Firestone Firehawk 225/40R-18 (Front) and 235/40R-18 (Rear)

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd then finally!!! This was 1 month ago! It was soooo long overdue. Ordered a new Type S front Bumper (had to get it painted ugh) and had a local hot rod shop fix my quarter panel. It came out great!

Oh and if anyone can tell, I added a little special touch to it. ASM paint instead of the chrome in the grill. Name: D53F2009-D67B-4F8B-A3EE-08CB1BB3538A.jpg

This is something I had been thinking for a LONG TIME and I just couldn't figure out what I wanted to do. I wanted a carbon fiber roof, but my buddy and I came up with an idea that I have never seen before. I like being different than everyone else btw.

Well instead of carbon fiber, we went with black but cleared it a lot. I have 5% blacked out tint on my back glass and 35% tint with a 5% strip on my windshield. Well with this paint scheme on my roof, it will look like I have a complete Glass roof. I have not wet sanded it yet but you get the idea.

I went ahead and sanded down and repainted my hood as well. I had a bunch of rock chips from driving on the interstate for an hour to and from work everyday.

I have also went ahead and blacked out the heads, side markers, flashers on the mirrors, trunk license plate area, and painted my emblems on the trunk black chrome as well.

So needless to say, I have done a TON of work to the car within about 2 months. When I get the mod bug, I literally drop everything and go "HAM". I hope you guys like what I have done so far. I still have quite a few things under my sleeves. I will be posting more photos within the next week with MOAR mods. A lot MOAR mods. LOL

I have H&R race springs as of now. In a couple of months I am going to go with coil overs though.

Well I just installed my exhaust yesterday: RV6 Pre-Cat Deletes, RV6 V3 J-pipe, Magnaflow Resonator, and XLR8 axle back. I will post pics and vids later on tonight. I installed my Kenwood Double din Navi H/U and hardwired Beltronics radar detector. With this, I kept my full steering wheel controls, HFL, back up cam, and navi system in the original screen. I hard wired my 500GB portable hard drive into the back of the Kenwood H/U and have all of my music and blu rays (Movies, TV Shows, Music Videos, etc...) ripped so that I can watch (Parking brake over ridden). I installed the A-Spec side skirts; I have not yet talked myself into the A-spec front lip or rear lip yet, even though they are ready to be installed in the shop lol. I am about to install my Viper Remote start/Alarm/Keyless Entry within the next couple of weeks. Also looking at purchasing a tuner, not sure which one yet, and getting it tuned and dyno'd. I know I have more to do, but for some reason I am drawing a blank at the moment lol

love it man. I like that black chrome a lot. You really don't have any issues seeing out of that windshield at night? I've got 70 percent on one of my cars my daily, its not hardly tinted so I can see out easy. I was thinking of doing 50 percent on my TL but after seeing this that looks really....really good.

Thanks bro! And yea I can see perfectly at night, no issues whatsoever. I actually took a 7 hour trip to Louisiana at night and didn't have a problem. I love it!

How the hell do you see anything at night? Tinted windshield PLUS tinted headlights PLUS 10k bulbs?

You are a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Well as I've stated numerous times now, I don't have any problems whatsoever. If it were dangerous, I sure as hell would not have done it.
