Finally got the A-spec kit and new wheels!

Bought this back in December. If you look at my new guy thread, (new guy from Ohio) you will see what I started with along with the starter mods. Thanks to Bruce, I got the A-spec kit and installed it the same day. Just this last weekend decided to trade my 18 inch Rota Tarmacs for this set of 19 inch Tenzo R Concept 9. Next up are Tein basic coilovers for a little more low, 07-08 base tails, a chrome grill, and rear window spoiler.

Very nice! A-Spec kit looks great and the black wheels really complement WDP well. And good call on the 07/08 base tails, they will look clean on your WDP. I think they are probably my favorite tails for the TL.

Car looks good man! What are the wheel specs, you can probably fit spacers in there and make the wheels sit flush with the fenders.

Unless you plan on switching exhaust, you should check out Austin's (Undying Dreams) thread for pics of his extended exhaust tips. They really make the base exhaust look nice.

No problem. Do the stage three exhaust like he and I both have as well while you are getting it done! It replaces the resonator and removes the mid muffler, and it sounds great. A nice note on start up, low rumble while accelerating, and silent when cruising! Somewhat similar sound to a G37 in my opinion.

Im new to the TL world and I was reading that the TL has problems with the deadly droaning. Being that I daily drive the car, and me being 28, I dont want want anything that will annoy me while cruising. Wanting a sound that is nice and smooth and matches the car. Not sounding like my civic haha.

My car is my daily driver too, and I'm 28 as well! It is a subtle difference, certainly not annoying. Let's put it this way - my wife never even noticed I changed anything.

Great! So what exactly did you swap the factory resonator with and what mufflers? And you just deleted the mid muffler all together?

So in order to avoid any rasp/drone, even if you get up getting a J-pipe in the future, you want the Dynomax 24235 resonator to replace yours:

Dynomax 24235 Race Bullet Muffler : Amazon.com : Automotive Dynomax 24235 Race Bullet Muffler : Amazon.com : Automotive

And yes, you then just replace the mid muffler with a straight pipe.

There is a thread somewhere that goes over the different "Stages" of exhaust mods, as well as youtube videos, but I think this is the one you would be happiest with. The first two probably don't do enough to be worth it, and stage 4, which just deletes the resonator altogether, I think just gets raspy and doesn't sound good at all.

Thanks a ton homie! Ill deff look into this. I might use the Magnaflow street series muffler. Always had good luck with Magnaflow and they are constructed nicely. Hell they may even have a tip that I like lol. Thanks again for the info. Huge help!

Anyone on here by chance have a WDP with the chrome grill? Trying to decide if it will be to much or not. My hopeful thought is it looking classy with the white but I'm not much of a chrome fan and scared to go with it. Thanks for all the love guys! (no homo)
