Finally finished A-Spec'ing...NBP Type-S
haha, those are my girl's camera skills...the car is actually dirty!

thanks dude!

suspension is the next item on my list! still debating on which to go with. suggestions?
another thing that I noticed is that the side skirts sit about an inch lower than the front lip...that annoys me.
so I'm looking for some carbon splitters to even it out.

I will suggest the ISC N1 coilovers. I have them and they ride super nice and have great ride height adjustment and well as damper adjustment. XLR8 has them on sale right now, I would seriously check them out. The quality can't be beat and the price is awesome for what you are getting!

Dude-first, Aspecs look very sexy on a NBP.
Second, you DO NOT need coilovers for a Type S...The Machine, I'm not trying to bash on your suggestion. But the Type S already has a nice, stiff ride.
I went with H&R Sports Springs at a fraction of the cost (only $245 from one of our Acurazine Vendors). They are just great and perfect for a Type S.
Just something to consider.....

But OP, yes, Steven is right there are other choices out there to lower your vehicle depending on your budget and what your goals are for ride height and such. With more info from you, we can help you make a better decision from there

It's cool Steven
. I just automatically jump to telling people about those coilovers because of the quality, nice ride, and sweet adjustment ability. Also, just trying to give them a heads up that a sale is going on in hopes to try and save our fellow members so $$$ if they are looking to go in the coilovers direction.

I've considered the teins:

and I've also considered the manual a-spec type-s suspension since mine is an auto it supposedly drops it a bit more. also, I think resale will be better with this on there, because I don't plan on changing the suspension out again once I get it on there. what do you guys think?

'preciate it.
thanks dude!
the kit has double sided tape on the inside of the front and rear lips which should prevent any gaps.

thanks dude!

Well it all depends, with springs or the aspec suspension your drop kinda is what it is. If you don't think it's low enough you kinda spent money for nothing and then have to get coilovers to be able to adjust the height to where you want it. Also with springs/aspec you can't adjust anything to make the ride stiffer or softer. It all depends on what you want. I know most on here that have just put springs on the stock shocks absolutely hated the ride quality and wound up switching to coilovers anyway. The Teins are a great company for coilovers if you decide to go with them, but you have to reuse your stock top hats. But with the ISC N1's they come with brand new top hats, just sayin.

I'm looking for a drop like this:

you're right, I am concerned that the a-spec won't give me the drop I want. my concern with springs only is that the stock shocks would go bad due to different spring rates.

thanks, they've been great wheels although they have a few rock chips on them now...I might get them powder coated at some point.
thank you sir! actually yes, I've been thinking about a carbon fiber roof spoiler and some carbon fiber splitters for the front bumper.
thought I would throw up a few update pics (sorry but only cell pics for now):
installed some zkw-r with osram 5k bulbs...

tein street advance!

freshly washed...

I'm planning to have the 3m on the front bumper/lip re-done and paint and/or powdercoat the brembos.
thanks for looking!

I'm actually a member on the facebook group, but I rarely log into facebook!

since then, I've upgraded to some v-leds. much brighter!
I'm the same way, mainly because given the amount of 3g's I see on the road I rarely see one with an a-spec kit. pretty common on azine though.
