I bought my car used veterans day last year with 56k its a base 07 auto. It has been my daily as I do have a weekend warrior that I play with (in background of pic)


About a week ago my girlfriend was backing out of the garage and lets just say I wasnt too happy.



I got these for christmas and they were just sitting in my closet collecting dust:



My girl cut me a check no questions asked so I decided to go ahead and fix the damage and get a new color and just get it where I want it to be looks wise. Im going with the ultrasonic blue mica from the lexus is-f.

I found a deal on some kuhmo xs tires for $510 shipped on ebay so I jumped all over them:


We threw on some bwr full coilovers on there. I was going to buy some f&f type 1`s but the guy gave me a price I couldnt pass up. Fitment was ok. I will need to drill out the front sway bar just a hair so that it can slide on. Here is a snap of the installed product at the body shop:

This is a reverse progress thread.

His car started out nice in the first pic then gets progressively worse.

First he added the body damage.

Then he got some ugly chrome wheels.

Then he stripped the interior and removed his sidemarkers, mirrors and headlights.

Can't wait to see whats next!

In all seriousness the drop looks good, not feelin those wheels, and the Lexus blue should look amazing.

She was parked in the garage was backing out and her ds mirror was getting close to the wall so she turned away from it (so she says) causing her car to hit my car. Does it make sense to me not at all (she turned the wrong way imo). Either way she`s fixing it so im happy. Besides the paint, wheels, and coils the only other things I may get are a camber kit and some window visors.

 

Sounds like a good plan!

His car is at a body shop getting prepped for paint. Hence why he also doesn't have a mirror, sidemarkers or headlights either.

 

that sucks what your girl did, but I have a feeling it'll look pretty sick in that Lexus blue. I've always liked that color and it'll definitely look unique to see a TL painted in it!

I wanna see this isf blue on a TL

 

Yesterday I went to go get the wheels and tires mounted. I went by the body shop to pick up my oem wheels so that I could switch over the tpms sensors to the new wheels. They had the damaged area fixed. Heres a pic: I ordered new tpms valve assy`s from honda (acura wanted $23 list vs. $13 at honda). The only thing I had to do was to reuse the old retaining nut because the new one did not allow as much travel to tighten the sensor to the wheel as the old one did. Heres a finished pic:

lol swoosh those tires do look bad ass.

The rims arent too bad I just wish they weren't chrome.

The body shop looks like they know what they are doing, can't wait to see the IS-F blue.

Today I went by to test fit the wheels to see if any fender rolling needed to be done. Everything was good. I got the ride height close to what I wanted it to be. They began taping up everything after I got done so maybe tomorrow or monday the paint should be on. Heres some pics that I took today:

Eh3 welcome to AZ where all the cool kids are Progress is looking great! cant wait to see that blue on! what else do you have planned for her?

 

Get those rims painted matte black. With the blue you are getting it painted I think it will look money.

 

I want to get some oem window visors and maybe do something with the exhaust ( either change the tip or the mufflers). I am not looking for performance just a better look compared to the factory exhaust tips.

Maybe down the road i will do something to them but not at the moment. These werent my first choice of wheels but they were free and they are not that bad imo.

I think the factory exhaust tips look awsome, if your gonna change them go with a quad tip system.

 

Your girl hit your door and quarter panel and you made her pay to repaint your whole car? Wut?

Windows down and sunroof open with all that sanding going on makes me cringe. Looking forward to seeing the painted product though.
