^ I had a similar looking set, but they were just considered as Acura steelies, I believe that is what his are, it could very well be the same as what they put on the CRV.
Not sure if this is a re-post, but I thought I would share this awesome drift video I came across. I'm really considering a RWD or at least AWD car. I love my car but fwd is not any fun, especially in all this snow.
If you have the time, it's worth the watch!

Mike I know what you mean about the rwd drive itch but then I think off all those "horror" stories of getting stuck with rwd in the snow. What cars were you thinking off?
As far as reliability and AWD are concerned, there is Subaru but who wants to take the chance with blown head gaskets?.......unless you get a weekend warrior then snow doesn't even matter.

To answer that question on my rims, yes they are steelies from Acura for my winter setup, I know they look ugly but with winter over here I have no choice but to use them

TBH I dislike Subarus, their interiors don't strike me as luxurious at all.
I've always liked the e46 platform (RWD, manual, one of the more reliable BMWs) but not sure if that's the route I want to go.
I'm sure I'll have made a final decision by this fall.
I'm sure I would be fine with a proper set of snows. FWD or RWD, if there's too much snow, you're going to get stuck regardless.

How's your car coming along? I'm hoping to have my summer set-up on by end of march/ beginning of April (weather permitting)
Finally got my car back on Saturday from the dealership.
New OEM clutch and driveshafts were put in. First they put in aftermarket driveshafts but they were vibrating under acceleration so the car was brought back and replaced with OEM - no vibrations at all.
Very happy with how the car drives, completely new feeling.
Only problem is now I have a clunking in the rear passenger side whenever I go over a bump or if the suspension shifts. Taking the car in tomorrow afternoon and hoping that it's just a bushing/end link and not a blown strut/coilover.
No pics for this post since I didn't get a chance to see the original clutch - should have the summer rims on by then end of next week and I'll post some up then, but I won't have any new modifications for this season.

How was it confirmed? I had one of the upper bolts come loose on my rear coilover, check endlinks, check that spring is on silencer sleeve. I wouldn't be shocked if shop/dealer took a look, saw aftermarket suspension and used scapegoat.
Just an idea...

Probably nothing this year Thanh, I'd love to do the headlights but I don't see much of a point since I don't think I'll be keeping the car for much longer.

I hear you J,
The shop I went to is used to working on modified cars, they checked for bad bushings/endlinks and everything seemed alright, but they very well could have still missed something. Maybe over the next couple weeks I'll pull the back seat out and inspect the upper bolts.

So the car ended up back at the dealership to understand why my battery kept draining. Turns out it was the memory seat function, had that replaced and lost the car for another 5 days since it was over the Easter holiday.
After all that waiting I finally got the car back last night and swapped over to my summer rims and the car was running perfectly until around midnight..

I was driving on a country road doing the speed limit (80km/h) when a raccoon out of nowhere decided to run into the road - I'm usually pretty good at spotting and avoiding these animals since most of the major roads in my area have fields/forestry on either side and animals always dart out. Not this time. I slammed on the brakes and swerved into the shoulder, just about to avoid it when it decides to turn back and run in the direction it came from. I was doing maybe 55-60km/h, but did not expect this much damage..

I managed to cover most of it with gloss white vinyl. It doesn't look perfect, but it will do for the time being while I source a out a replacement.

Luckily the bumper is easily replaceable.
And hard to tell but from the looks of it you can salvage the A-Spec lip!
Sorry that happened, better that than you running off the road to avoid him though.

The only animal I've ever hit was a raccoon. I'm a tree hugger animal lover type and I hated the feeling.
I too, did everything I could to avoid without going off road and flipping my buddy's van. But still. I'm sorry and I'm glad it's just the bumper cover...chin up!
