i have a couple of questions...i have a 05 white tl and iv been thinking of doing this for a while but im not really sure how too do it so if you can help me out it would be appreciated

Dope! do you use OEM or aftermarket tails? I noticed the aftermarket tails are a little different construction than OEM.

^ oem tail lights, if you go with aftermarket, get depo, they are damn close to the real thing

So it's about time that I open up my tails and custom mod them.. but I have a couple of question before I start dremeling away

I have 07-08 BASE tails.. I was wondering why it's necessary to get 04-06 all red tails. Can I not open up the 07-08 base tail, remove all the RED trims, paint them black, and just seal the tail light back up? I understand the type s tail has a smoked trim to it already but the base tail's is red; Can't I just paint that part black?

not at all. they are all the same (construction wise) and any tail light from 04-08 3rd gen tls will fit one another

looking real good on silver! btw your washing machine is pro with "infinite water level"... and you can select every aspect of the cycle; killer.

just used base 07/08 tails, painted the trim and reflector along with the blinker housing and sealed it back up.
