By the way, on a personal note, I think the A-spec concept is freakin ugly in every way expect the roof.

I don't think the staggered tire size looks better and it can only slow you down and cost more. It also keeps you from being able to rotate your tires - which accelerates tire wear and costs even more. Good 20 inch tires aren't cheap.

Staggered on FWD= RICE. It has no functional purpose and screams posuer. I don't understand why people try to slap large wheels on cars they don't really belong on. You bought 4k Lowenharts, just buy a true RWD car a lil larger in size to fit them on.

Do you even understand the purpose of a staggered setup? It's not just for looks.

Nice choice in wheels, I give you props on that.

I don't understand why some people have to be so rude. If it is not your style, fine.....it's not your car. As far as putting large wheels on cars they don't belong on......when is the last time you've been to an aftermarket car show? Some people don't care if there cars are AWD, FWD, or RWD......it's just about looks for some. How do you know that he didn't get a super deal on those. This the reason he almost didn't share his car with us.....that makes no sense. Good job ward148, just get some adjustables and a kit.

IMO they look good. but I dont know about practicality w/ tire wear rotation etc.. but rims do make the ride.

How do the brakes feel? Is there a difference.. are they slushy.. ?

I actually think it looks better with all three... (more proportionate)

It looks unbalanced with just the brake and accl. ???

Look at it this way you carry the silver theme of your rims into the interior...

Bottom line looks good...

You go man...

(tigetech) The brake feel is the same nothing changed there. When i first drove the car you could feel weight of the rims or it was the drag of the tires. The ride and handling is great believe it or not. I think its the car, just rides great... Even my uncle couldnt believe how nice it drove with 20's on it.

(salut88888) Thanks for posting

Ya maybe your right, it was just the first thing i did to the car and all you saw was pedals. But now that i have the rims to maybe ill put it on...

Wow! Looks good. Much props for running a set of clean 20s on a TL.
About the dead pedal, I would leave it on. As stated before, looks more proportionate.

same here. i opened this thread expecting to see a horribly malformed monstrocity, instead it looks quite classy. great fucking match for the car color i say.

Sweet ride Ward148....nice dubs....I was wondering what brand of sport pedals did you use for the gas pedal? Did it require any drilling? I was looking to change mine as well but didn't know if they would fit because of the unusual design of the gas pedal. Thanks.

Keep in mind that it will only leave a gap if you don't lower, and if you don't lower and put 20s on, the car is gonna look pretty high (hence a lot of people on this thread saying this car needs to be lowered)

non chrome 20" wheels are rare but pleasing in this ghetto blaster chrome era. just goes to show how nice they can be to have wheels that actually match the cars paint.

Hey RONDOG....

Just to let you know your rims are AMESOME Those INSPYRE are sick(in a good way).. very aggressive and you can't beat the price. My choices were between the Lowenharts, Maya's and your Inspyra's... I Just had a large amout saved and went big (maybe spent to damn much, WOW those were expensive) LOL... I know your ground kit is still in the testing phase hopefully it well be availably in Dec or January....

great work though....

Do you even understand the purpose of a staggered setup? It's not just for looks.

Nice choice in wheels, I give you props on that.

Sense i never responded to any of your post before, i will now
If You post like an I well respond like one As for having a "true RWD car" i do, well actually its my wifes car now 02 AMG C32!!! And yes i do understand what the staggered setup is for. I've had performance cars before and now i'm going for looks

The AMG is a fast car and great preforming car but 55,000 vs 35000 can't compare... better amenities with the Acura. (sorry have both and The Acura TL is a great car hands down)

Your pics please!!

You can see it in the garage....

Ward 148: YOU GIVE ME HOPE when i see 20s looking so clean on a TL. Your's is the first TL in silver w/20s that I really like. I've seen it done on Black TLs, but now Silver----NICE.

My 05 Silver/Ebony Navi Auto is finally on order.

I ran your exact same size set-up on my previous car, a 5 series, loved the look on that as well. I had the same problem in the rear, predominately on one side with passengers in the rear. This time I plan to go 20x9 245/30-20 all around to minimize the rubbing risk and b/c the TL is FWD. I will miss that great lip in the rear, mine was 4.0".

b/t/w those pedals look great as well. Very nice taste all around.

Twenties.

-Thanks Badazz TL, i was kinda worried about it being getto to...The owner of the shop said it looks great and it wont rub. Well i think it looks great but it still rubs. 1 for 2 isn't bad i guess

-Twenties i like your name!!!

Damn, you must of had a sick ride before(4 inch rear) and congrats on your order.
I was trying to match the color of the rims to the car because i love that...(ya just need the right rim to make 19's and 20's work (or i just got lucky except for the rubbing)

" The Problem #1: If it rubs on the fender near the street: Best hope is to have fender professionally rolled and shaven by a body shop that specializes/frequently does this. ask your rim shop for a referral. this may save you a 1/4" of room. Anything beyond that is out of touch. If its done wrong--may crack your fender/paint."

"the solution- you can sell/trade-in the rear wheels and tires and buy two more 20x9s and 245-35s for the rears---will likely solve your rubbing.

I just would like him to trade the backs so thay match the fronts

Ward 148,
Nice job on the 20s. I like the alluminum color against the silver.

The following link is a picture of Fellow TLr. I purchased it last October. I was one of the first black TLs in the Valley of the Sun.

Keep up the good work.

Hey ediddy,

Know it Doesn't rub bad.(only rubs on the drives rear) When i have only 1 or 2 people in the car it doesn't rub, but if i have 4+gas it does(only on hard dips). Before i had them work on the rims, if i was by myself on the freeway(certain parts) or hard turnes to the right it would rub...(that doesn't happen anymore) The passengerside(rear) tucks with no problem with weight or on big dips. (its never been an issue) (But the right rear sucks) There is plenty of room for the wheel/tire on the inside of the car. (where the shock is) So maybe its the offset still, But you dont want any rubbing when you pay 35000+wheels. Ill keep you posted on what works or what doesn't.

iforged is a must man i have a set 20X8 3 piece aero's high pollished and i love them also you might want to go with the nitto sport compact tire 225/35/20 so you will not have any issues with rubbing even lowered. good luck with the wheels, david
