Big 20s on a TL is an oxymoron. DO not pass go, do not collect $200....

Wow, that is actually the first decent looking TL with 20's that i've seen here in 3 and 1/2 yrs. Do you have a drop? All you need is the bodykit to finish off the look.

It's amazing to me how well our car (TL) swallows big rims and tires...

I'm still going with 18's maybe 19's but no bigger for sure...

THose are smoking rims!!!! What make is the rim and how wide are the tires and rim. I like the deep dish finish on them. You must of have a lower offset compare to stock inorder to have such as deep dish. Nice going dude!!!

Looks real good & you really can't tell by the photo's that their 20's.

How much ground clearance did you gain compared to stock 17's?

Good wheel choice. I don't think any other 20" would look as nice. Usually 20's are just too odd looking, but this looks good. Nice pick.

Question... are you rubbing? Do you have room to drop the car?

Thanks for posting.

wow, definetly looks great!
First tasteful TL on 20s I have ever seen.
What are the specs and what size tires are you running?
Lastly, is your car lowered?

More importantly, Where did you get those pedals???!!!

Hey guys thanks for the kind words...

I almost did'nt post because i know people get flip out about 20's on a TL but i'm glad i finally did. Hope you guys like...

(2k2silvertl-s) I dont have a drop its completely stock and yes i well be getting a body kit just waiting to see if acura comes out with a new kit for the 05 A-spec.

(ed99) these rims are Lowenhart LD-5's. The front is a 9 inch rim (245-35-20) and the back is a 10 inch rim (275-30-20)

(xristos) I would say the car was raised about a 1/2 inch over all. But i didnt take any me measurements before the rims.

And next week should have the comptech sway bar installed...
Any other questions just let me now...

Its looks great. But in my opinion, you should have gone with a more liner kind of style than the curvy style. A more edgy pattern would go good with the edgy styling of the 04 TL. That current style would go good with the 2nd generation TL with has curves.

(tuetatesu) regarding any rubbing? The owner of the company told me it would'nt rub and that he's done this set-up before. When i got my car back, on some parts of the freeways when the car would bottom out it would rub. But only on the drivers rear. So i took the car back and he took measurements of the back rims to make sure it was'nt the (right) rims offset. He took my car and had both back rims machined maybe 1/8 inch. He just stated that all cars sit alittle different. AND NO MORE RUBING... 2 1/2 inch lip in front and 3 1/2 in back..

And as for a drop i dont think so...

(ctlgo) sorry not to sure on the offset.. I didnt no it before and after thay machined it now have no idea...

(pearl04) those pedals are from ultimatepedals.com thay do good work but expensive
(gas) $50.50 satin (brake) $66.50 and i did get the drivers footrest but its such a big piece i dont no if i like it..

looks clean standin tall...tho some coilovers would give that nice squat in the front, since you can't go much farther down in the back....

I'm surprised that everyone likes this set up. So I guess it's chrome 20's everyone hates.

This is definetly the best looking TL on 20's I've seen but I still think they look a little to big.

I think that they don't look quite as big or offensive without a drop, but then the car looks like a 4x4...once the proper drop is done, my guess is that then the wheels are going to look overboard (IMHO)

(someone) the pedals are satin anti-slip. also i have the footrest $61.50 not to sure if i like it, so its not on.

(9j2-97-c7) i'm not to sure what coilovers are but im going to look in to it.
The front of the car can be droped with no problems (i think) would love to drop it a 1/2 inch (front)

I'm just woundering how much the 20's raised the car, i just measured the drivers front bumber (if looking strait at the rim i measured the start of the wheel well, left side) theres a nice little lip.....8 11/16 from the ground to the lip.

I think it is the thickness of the spoke that makes it look so big. However, once he brings down the front some, it will be better. I would like to see a mesh style, w/ a gunmetal center......then the revits and the lip would stand out more. That would look sweet on the silver. Someone do a photoshop with Iforged Seneca's or Swifts. Please.

Looks good buddy! Those definetely blend well with the car....very aggressive!

If people come along and flame you to death, just remember that the A-Spec concept car that everyone masturbates to also has 20s.

You see, if you tone down the center it will not be so big looking. Just a thought.

Too big for my taste, but this looks better than other TL's with 20's that I have seen because you actually went with a large enough tire to have some semblance of a sidewall. There are, however, some drawbacks to this. The large tire diameter means the speedometer is going to be off a few mph and it could be far enough out of tolerance to impact ABS and VSA functions.

I don't think the staggered tire size looks better and it can only slow you down and cost more. It also keeps you from being able to rotate your tires - which accelerates tire wear and costs even more. Good 20 inch tires aren't cheap.
