Custom Headrests For My TL-S (PICS!!!)
These have been a long time coming, I have wanted these from the day I got the car. This has really been a lbor of love for me: Finding a custom leather guy(took months), driving back and forth to his shop(45 minutes from my house), making sure the color match was correct(it is spot on) and getting the embroidery done. Below are pics from before, during and after...let me hear what you think.
*not to be a d*ck, but I will not be able to get these done for anyone for a few reasons:
1. The logo is copyrighted and I do not have any rights to mass produce, plus I am not an AZINE vendor.
2. This was a very special favor to me form the gentleman who did my embroidery and I was told by him that this would be a one time deal.
3. The cost and time put into these was far greater than I thought it would be.
On to the pics!!

ADVANCE.
Hey golfjwr, that is pretty tight. Is it the same size as the original layout of the existing type-s sign on the headrest? Pretty cool, tell your guy good job!

If by glued on you mean 8676 stitches at 560 rpm at 20 minutes a panel, on the baddest embroidery machine I have ever seen...then you are correct....EH

Ooooh so he used completely different leather and rewraped your headrest... That's top notch work... You shouldve gotten some lcd's and threw em in the back while you were at it... And did you do the rear seats aswell?

NOT!!!
Glued on???? Your brain is glued on. Embroidery on the headrests puts the Type-S interior on a whole nother level. I really didn't understand why they didn't do this on these cars to begin with.
Props for taking the time on doing a mod like this and you are the first one on this site to do this. Anytime anyone has the balls to do this to there car I respect. A lot of work that has paid off. Is that a Tajima machine I see in the pictures? Tajima FTW!!!! Nice!

Pretty cool. Bet it looks better than the pics.
Want to see it in person. I saw the leather before embroidery and the match was right on.
Did you shave the old logo?

Golf, I think they look fantastic. What was your total time and cost? Congratulations to you. Also how long did it take for this mod from start to finish?

I've got to think that the majority of Type S owners wished that Acura did this mod from the factory. Do you guys think that this mod would look good on all 4 headrests or just leave it on the front 2 headrests?

do you have the original leather skins that were on the headrests? If so, I might be interested in buying them...

The original leather is still intact, since the oem headrests are injection molded, I had to have covers made to cover over the factory headrests. The guy who did them did such a good job that its very hard to notice that they are not stock.
