TLDude, what new color options are you thinking about for your vsxx? Or is it on the DL.
Maybe some gunmetal color but that was one of the reasons I sold the 527's. They were too matchy and I wanted some contrast. Plasti dip has come out with a new Smoke product so I may try that to see if I like it. I'm torn on the blue I have now. Some days it looks hella awesome (esp in the sun) and somedays I dont like them. But I've several compliments from persons young and old. Looks even more awesome with the new headlights

Hi.

I think of buying XXR 527 rims for my CL7 Accord (Acura TSX for the U.S. market) and questions the selection of parameters rims. I care as much as a result of concave. Is ET 35 18x9.75 rim keeps concave shape on the front? Is just FOR IN ET 20 will see this effect? The front-wheel rim is planning to give 18x8.75 ET35. Here, a similar question as to the rear . As with the effect of concave?

Alternatively, please hint to the XXR 527 rims has the highest effect of concave. I watched a lot of pictures and often with the same parameters, the effect seems to be larger or smaller.

Sorry for my poor English. Greetings from Polish.

Hey, buddy. The bigger the offset, the more concave the wheel will be.

EXAMPLE: on the 18x8.75...

et35 - Low Concavce
et20 - Concave
et0 - VERY concave

The offset tells you how far the wheel plate will sit from the wheel hub on the car. Obviously, with a wider wheel you can get a much more concave appearance.

Almost all of us are running 18x8.75 et20.

Thank you very much for a particular answer. That is the same rim width is not as significant as a result of concave?

For example:
18x8 ET15 - concave
18x10 ET 35 - less than the effect of concave

I think of XXR wheels or 527 mb battle, my car is acura tsx 04 CL7. Camber on the rear of stool can fit inside a wide rim with a low ET. The front is more difficult, because you need narrow rim and low ET would have the effect of concave?

First Fatality?

Had a wheel that was slowly losing air over a period of about 2 weeks. Took it off, but didnt see anything in the tread. I took it to my tire shop thinking maybe a loose TPMS sensor or something.

Nope...cracked rim. Inside lip:

Is something like this covered under warranty (wheels are under 1 year old)?

I found a local place willing to look at it and repair it for $80.

NL Motoring has new ones in stock (according to the website) for $128.25+shipping.

A friend of mine says that if I get it welded, the balance will be AFU and a pain the ass to get right. No issue---I would just insist my tire guys pay special attention and get it right.

I'm more concerned about reliability and safety. Most of my driving is the high speed, Interstate-type stuff. I do not want to have a catastrophic failure at speed.

Opinions? Experiences? Thanks in advance!

^wow Dave, sorry to see that. Ironically it was just this afternoon I was speaking to my buddy about these wheels and he was saying how strong they were considering the curbs he had hit. I'd buy a new one if I were you since they are cheap

In my personal opinion, a camber kit is necessary if you plan on lowering your car more than 1". Reason being that once you lower the rear of the TL it also affects toe, which can ruin a tire fast. The TL does not come factory with the ability to adjust toe or camber in the rear, so in order to keep tire wear to a minimum it's good to install a camber kit.

The fronts do have toe adjustment, but no camber adjustment. If you plan on lowering your TL with an aggresive wheel fitment, you'll want to install a camber kit to allow for more negative camber.

Same with mine. I'm lowered around 3 inches and I just had my rear and front toe adjusted without a camber kit.

I think the 21.2lbs is for 18X8.75, right?

I just shipped mine back, but did not weigh it. I used a friend's company to ship---I'll see if they have the weight.
